Hi All,
Well we paid in FULL today (let me start booking those excursions) LOL

When TA spoke with Disney about a few things while I was there, she said to please alert us that we were cutting it close with air departure times. We are leaving at 11:45 a.m. and that we should make our flight times later.

After the cruise I really just want to get home.

What do you think??? Should I leave it???

We encountered the same problem. The person at DCL said that after 9/11 the line-ups to clear security can be over an hour at MCO. As well your dicision could be influenced by your choice of transportation from port to MCO. The Disney transfer will take the most time to get you to the airport.

I've used DCL transfers twice, and the latest I've been through security at MCO was 10:15am. This was including having to check our luggage at the airport, as port check-in was suspended at the time. There was also extra time added at the beginning and end of the bus trip for the luggage to be loaded/unloaded. If you can check your luggage at the port, you can go right to security and then to your gate to check in. You should be able to make it if the ship is on time. I'm not sure how often it is late, but just keep in mind that it is a possibility, however remote.

On one of our upcoming cruises, we decided to go for broke and booked an 11:19 a.m. flight because the price was just to good to pass up. We usually eat a late breakfast, but for that one we'll be getting off the ship as early as possible. We always take Happy Limo so we know we'll be able to leave immediately. I was to beat the rush, as last time, when we took our time (we had a 2 p.m. flight), the line was 90 mins. by the time we arrived at MCO. It stretched all the way past the airline check-in desks and to the doors. We shopping and had lunch at Chilis, and it was down to 30 mins. by the time we went through. There is always a chance that the ship will be delayed or that there will be some kind of problem at the airport (like the sleeping security screener). But we know there are several other flights going to Chicago, so in the worst case, we could fly stand-by later. If we didn't have as many flight options, I would be less likely to risk it.
