Has anyone on this board got and used their Visa Rewards? How long does it take to get them? What did you use yours on? We're going in November and I want to make sure that I get them in time. I'm still trying to decide what to use them on. Maybe a character dinner at Crystal Palace, or do you have to use them on merchandise?

I do my banking online, so it only took a week or so to get the card. After that I just transfer them to my card from the website, which posts in 24 hours. I have used mine for food, pins, and other merchandise.

Blessings

The first time I redeemed my rewards points they were doing actual certificates. I think I ordered them about 6 weeks before my trip to make sure I had them in plenty of time. I used those towards my hotel bill. The second time I redeemed them they had moved to the rewards card, which works like a debit card. Again, I think I ordered it about 4-6 weeks in advance just to be sure. That time I used them for a nice meal for a friend and I. This time since I only have to transfer points to the card I can do that at the last minute. I will probably move all the points I have over in September (my trip is at the end of October) and then move anything else I have right before I go. You want to be careful about getting them too soon because once you get them, they have an expiration date. It's not real soon or anything, but if your trip were to fall through and you couldn't reschedule for a long time you might be out your reward dollars.

To my knowledge you can use your rewards dollars anywhere you can pay by credit card on Disney property, which is virtually everywhere. I think you can also use them at the Disney store and the Disney catalog, but I'm not positive on that.

I ordered my reward card last Sunday (Jul 11) and it isn't here yet.

I requested it online and got it pretty quickly. Then just transfer online also. I just used it wherever we were spending money until it was gone-food and drinks at the pool bar, restaurants, etc.

I ordered mine online and it took about 10 days.

I used them in the food court at the hotel, at a counter service place at MK and the hotel bill.

I'm waiting to get enought points to download some more. Once you have 2 cards, you need to have 10 points.

You can use them at the Disney Store and the Disney catalog.

I am about to sign up for our Disney Visa's but I've got a couple of questions....

1. It says in the fine print you will earn one (1) Disney Dream Reward DollarSM for every one hundred (100) dollars in net purchases. So for example if i spend $150 one month will i get $1 reward or $1.50. And if I only get $1, does the extra $50 in purchases carry over to the next month?!

2. The account will be in my fiance's name. We are getting married in a month. Can she get a card for me now since I'm not her spouse? And will it be easy for her to get a card with her new last name?

3. What is the specific website to login to your online Disney Visa account?

Thank You!!

I got the card last November and it showed up in about 10 days. We used the rewards for a dinner at Chef Mickey. As others have said, it worked just like a credit card.

I believe they round it, and then in your instance you'd get $2.00, but I'm not positive. I went to check how many points I earned on my last statement to see if I could verify that, but I spent 1500.37 and earned 15 points, so that didn't help me figure out if and how they round or not. I do know that nothing carries over from one month to the next. You earn what you earn and then it starts over the next period.

The website is http://online.firstusa.com/

As for your fiance getting you a card, I don't know the actual answer, but I would guess she could. The best thing to do would be to call and find out. Usually name changes are fairly simple, but each company has their own procedures so she should call Customer Service to find out what she needs to give them to get a card with her new name.
