Ok so I just applied for my Disney Rewards Visa Card for are trip. But it said that it can take up the 30 day to receive an answer. Does any one remember how long it took to get there card in the mail. We leave on Sept 8th for are trip.
Can anyone tell me what all the Benefits are of the Rewards Cards are. I don't wont to miss any. Thanks :thumbsup2

I think ours came within 2-3 weeks.

You get the disney rewards dollars, which is the biggest perk I think. For every $100 you charge you get $1 Disney reward dollar. You have them put them on a separate card that they also have to mail you (so sounds like you won't be able to take advantage of this for this trip). You can use it at DL any place that takes credit cards.

Then you get the free stroller rentals.

The private Meet and Greet with a few characters, and a free picture.

Pretty sure you also get shopping discounts. We used our AP's for that, so haven't tried that one yet.

I remember mine came quicker than I expected, less than two weeks.

I think it is 10 percent off food at some locations it was worth every thing for the free stroller rental

Did you just apply for the actual VISA or the rewards card (which you don't have to apply for, just order)?

Here is the website for the VISA and Rewards benefits.

If you just applied for the VISA, I'm not sure how long it takes to get it approved and then mailed to you. If you get it before you leave for DL you can get:

~ Free stroller rentals
~ Character meet and greet in DCA
~ Discounts at specific restaurants and stores.

You need to accumulate 20 rewards points (1 for each $100 charged and paid on your VISA) before you can order your rewards card. After that you add your points as you get them up until the card expires. But, remember, once you put the points on your rewards card, you have to use them or lose them. If you don't plan on spending them, just don't transfer them.

I'll bet that was exciting to get it so fast. :) I just applied today and hope it gets here in that kind of time frame too.

We have had ours for about 2 1/2 years now. Got it so that we could charge DH's school tuition, books & gas...boy has it paid off! We did the rewards card last year for our trip to WDW and basically had all souvenirs pd for for free with the 1% you get back, I think we had over $500 on the rewards card. I started charging most everything with it this year, and paid it off at the end of the month and have $350 for this trip!! Another great feature is you get 6 months to pay for your Disney vacations booked thru the travel agency, with no interest!!! :dance3:

I love my Disney Visa:rotfl:

I hope the two of you that just applies took advantage of the great incintive program they offering right now, refer a friend. This gives both parties I believe bonus points!!

Anybody else looking to apply for great perks?? I, and probably anybody on here, would love to refer you.

I've had a Disney VISA for about three years and charge nearly everything to it. When we went to DL last week, we had accumulated $509 and used it towards our hotel bill at DLH. It's good for a 10% discount on food at many places, and it's good for a 10% discount at World of Disney but only if you spend $50 or more. So try to make all your purchases at once in order to get the discount.

I just now saw this thread, otherwise I would have let someone refer me. I happened to apply for this card this morning. It said they will process the application, and get back to me. It sounds like it doesn't take very long though, so hopefully I'll get my card soon. I had a Chase card a few yrs ago, but closed the acct. Hopefully they'll want me back as a customer again! One of my friends uses her rewards to pay for everything in the park when they go to DL (souvenirs and food.) It sounds like a great deal. Maybe I can use it to pay for my vacation this winter to rack up more points.
