Regarding my post above.....
Let me help you out in showing just how bad my words have been twisted by some on here. Its really quite shameful. Its ok to disagree with me, but to comment that I have said things I clearly have not (meteors, alien encounters, that you are chumps who WILL pay interest, that my lifestyle is a smarter choice than yours, etc) really shows the character of some of you. Show me once where I have said any of that!
Regarding those who said I was saying my lifestyle was the right way or somehow better than theirs:
For those who said I ONLY referred to the Disney card:
I'm still looking for where I said this WOULD happen to everyone...
And Smitch, thank you for "getting me". I understand others do not feel the way I do about the card. I'm not trying to change any minds. I was only trying to make those who do not have it aware of the risks involved with the temptation of getting that $200. I knew the thread would be hit with hostility, however I was not prepared for it to go into the onslaught of mocking that it did with assumptions, mis-informed quotes, accusations of tax evasion, and being a pirate. We all dis-agree on this board at times. Dis-agreeing is a lot different than being accused of the things I have been in this thread.

No one is immune to this possibility.
I would be realistic and know that it can happen...hopefully that it wouldn't, but that it could.
IMO, the card is still a crock and picking apart someones way of living is only diverting the fact that you do not want to stay on topic and admit, that anyone of us could have to end up paying interest or fees. I don't care who you are or what you have, the situation could arise that could cause this to happen. Is it the end of the world? Of course not. But you are only fooling yourselves if you think you are immune to it. Im not saying its likely, only possible.
Regarding those who said I was saying my lifestyle was the right way or somehow better than theirs:
My lifestyle is not the norm, it is not recommended for most, and it isn't perfect or even financially smart but its "me" and Im ok with that.
God knows Im not one to be giving financial advice because I don't even deal with banks for one.
B) I have stated before (and even in this thread that my own way of life is not for everyone and isn't the smartest financially.
For those who said I ONLY referred to the Disney card:
....and then I go on to mention Wells Fargo later in the post.It got lumped in because BoA is yet another bank who, if you have any other kind of account with them (loan, mortgage, etc) and you are 1 day late on ANY of those payments, your CC interest will go to the maximum rate. Whats more, is once you are late on ANY payment with BoA they can go in your checking account and pull out the funds to pay that bill, and if you have outstanding checks - tough.
Brushing off others experiences because it hasn't happened to you (yet) is foolish.
I'm still looking for where I said this WOULD happen to everyone...
What is foolish is the mentality that you are immune to paying a late fee. No one is immune to it. ....
No one knows if anything like this will ever happen to you, or me, or our neighbor next door. Telling yourself that it will never happen to you is, as I said earlier, foolish.
A) This can and does happen every day to people, even the several hundred thousand dollar kind.
