What is the best way to use my Disney Rewards card at a sit-down restuarant? :confused3 If I give the card to the server but need to put a tip on the card/bill also, how does this work? Do I need to wait for an additional receipt after adding the tip in that would show the number of reward $$ left? Anyone done this before?

TIA!

Yes, I used my rewards card a lot on my spring break trip. You really treat it like a credit card. They will give you the bill and you give them the card. They come back and you add the tip to the receipt. Since they already have the number, just like a credit card, they just pull the tip off the card.

I always knew I had more reward $ on the card than my bill (i.e. enough to pay the tip), except at the last place I used it. But then I knew the rewards card didn't have enough, even for the meal. So when the bill came, I gave the server my reward card and my credit card. And I said "charge as much as is left on the rewards card to it, and the remainder to the cc". When I signed for the tip, it was added to the credit card.

Hope this helps!!

Here's what I did... I charged everything back to the room. On the night before checkout I took the card down to the desk. They applied the whole amount right to the bill. It was great seeing that credit the next morning.

This way, I didn't have to carry the card and/or worry about how much was left.

I wonder if someone could help me out? I have a disney Visa card that accumulates points. How do I redeem them? i can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
Thanks for your help
Fred :confused3

If you go to this site http://www.cardmemberservices.com/ and get your on line account started, you can go to the rewards section and order your rewards card. Make sure you do in at least 6 weeks before your trip. I am making sure my trip is charged in early July for our Sept. trip so I can take advantage of the extra rewards on our trip

good luck

We're usually a larger group, six to eight, so I usually use the rewards at character meals since they're big ticket items. I do like the idea of just having the front desk apply the credit to your bill. there is a psychological edge to seeing that credit posted after the shock of seeing how much you charged.

This is exactly what I did. I just went down to the front desk a few days into the trip and put the full amount on the rewards card towards the bill.
