Disney Resort ROOM Picture Thread *Index page 93*

We just got back last Saturday from a MAGNIFICENT 7-day trip. Because it was more economical for us, we ended up staying at the Pop Century our first night (arriving at around 10.30pm) and utilizing Magical Express (I stayed awake.. off and on... until around 4AM when I gave up on guest services dropping off our luggage. Who wants to be asleep when a stranger arrives at your door with your luggage? He never showed, and we had to call down at 6am when we were getting ready to leave). We then took a Taxi to the Yacht Club at 7AM, checked in, and got to the Magic Kingdom for our first day of vacation. Yes, this was the MK day of Gay Days, but I have to tell you, we have NEVER seen the park so empty- ever. And it was like that until at LEAST around 1pm! Anyways, I came on the boards and asked for recommendations for room requests and you guys really came through. I requested a view of the wedding gazebo, king bed, full balcony, and got a DREAM room! The photos that follow are from our first night in the Pop Century, and then the rest are the Yacht Club. I'd apologize for there being too many, but I know I can't get enough photos of these rooms myself, so I know you'll all appreciate them! Enjoy! :thumbsup2

*pardon the tiny images, if they were bigger you'd never get to the bottom of this page. If you click on them, you can see the full versions.

I am a little at a lost here. Was there a table and chairs in the room? I did not see any only the desk and chair seem kind of strange to me.

Love this thread!

We were at Poly this yr - no table and chairs in the Poly rooms now. There is one nice comfy chair with an ottoman, but no table....we wondered what happens with in room dining - where do they put the food? Guess on the desk!

Over the years we've usually stayed in Tokelau (formerly Ohau) and the rooms are larger than the one above, but still no table.

Thanks for the photos, everyone!!

I beleive they actually onl ydeliver till a certain time and then close up for the night. I have read that later travelers are supposed to pack all they need with them or pick up their own luggage as it may not arrive that night. That being said I have ehard of people getting their stuff as late as 1 AM.

how do i post photos of fort wilderness cabins???

You have to create an account w/ photo hosting site like Photobucket.com. Upload your photos to that account and then under each picture will be several different codes. You need to copy the image code it'll look like [img. Then you paste into a new post.

Subscribing....Love to see pics of resorts where I've yet to stay. Also, love to see all the newly renovated rooms, thank you.

I would like to see some views from the rooms at the Poly (with room number included) please...

These are the views from garden view concierge room 2527. The foliage was really lush right outside our window, but you could see other stuff if you looked to the sides.

Here is what I mean about the foliage being super lush right outside our window. Our room was on the 2nd floor, so it didn't have a balcony--just big glass doors that opened.

Elizabeth those are great pictures. Your photography of the resorts always makes me feel like I am right there. :goodvibes  Where was your villa? floor, trail and such.

I have been absent from the DIS for a while. Life has been getting in the way of my DIS time. :rotfl2: So I am caching up today. I really can't wait to return to WDW...... it has been too long.

Does anyone have an idea when they will be taking reservations for non-AKV members to stay at Kadani? I would like to book as soon as they are taking them.

Hi Angel! Thanks for the compliments on my pictures--I love taking them! Our villa was on the 5th floor (as are all the DVC rooms except the 5 DVC concierge units on the 6th floor). It was room #5214 and looked out at Sunset Savannah. As far as reservations for Kidani go, DVC members who do not own at AKV may begin booking reservations for Kidani for stays after May 1, 2009 at their 7-month windows.
