The past 2 years we've gone to Disney we have paid the deposit at the time of reservation and then the rest of the bill at the time of check in. I thought I saw somewhere that you can also make payments? That might be helpful if I could do that! Thank you!

Yes, you can definitely make payments. We usually do a package, but sometimes we do RO and I always make payments as I like having it paid in full prior to arrival :).

If you have a Disney account and have booked with them, you can make a payment online any time as long as it's at least $20. Log into your account, put in your reservation number (if you haven't already) you'll see a link for "My Reservations & Tickets" - when you click in there, you'll then see "make a payment" and the rest is self-explanatory.

You can probably call 407-934-7639 and put money on it as well - if you have your reservation number, there really isn't any reason I could see that you wouldn't be able to.

This is probably one of my favorite things about booking directly with Disney. It's very similar to booking your dining reservations online with them if you've ever done that.

I literally "throw" money on it whenever I can. It makes budgeting so much easier and makes it much easier to plan ahead.

You can also set up a Disney Vacation Account, which I find extremely helpful. Your credit or debit card is charge a pre-selected amount as often as you want and the money is held in an account for you. It's free of charge and has been a godsend for keeping me on budget for my summer trip! Here's the website: https://disneyvacationaccount.disney.go.com/

The online payment option is only available for package reservations, RO still has to be done the old fashion way by phone:(

I like to purchase GCs at a discount and then go to Disney Giftcard site and combined them onto 1 or more cards (up to $1,000 per card) and then use them to make payments over the phone since we normally only do RO reservations.

calling is a bummer - but it's WAAAAAY better than paying in one big chunk. OUCH!

The payment system is different if you book a package vs. if you book just a room.

If you book just a room: you pay a one night deposit when you make the reservation, and the balance is due at check in. You get a full refund if you cancel at least 5 days ahead of time.

If you have a package: you pay a $200 deposit, and you can make payments whenever you choose , in amounts of your choosing, but the balance has to be paid 45 days (Or 30 days? I can never remember) prior to your arrival.
