I'm more curious as to what Roy has to say about this! I'm afraid that since Ei$ner was the one to turn down the Comcast deal originally, and now the board {his board, of course} has turned it down, does he now become more firmly entrenched? God help us. Oh great!, after typing this post out, I find out that the board totally supports Ei$ner!! Like I said, HIS board. {under his thumb?}
Eisners ouster will come from Roy's efforts, no? It was always my opinion that his leaving would come about when (1) a hostile takeover was successful, or (2) If (hopefully when) the shareholders give the vote of no confidence in March.
I think they just have to stand behind Ei$ner now so the company doesn't look so volatile. I don't think they are sincerly backing him, but they have to make the company look as strong and united as possible right now.
