What does Disney do if you have a reservation on a cruise or at the world where you have paid your deposit or entire balance with a Disney gift card and you no longer have the card? I would think they would mail you the refund on a replacement card of some sorts. ( This does not apply to me, just curious.)
We had bought them at Giant Eagle (a Pittsburgh grocery store) and used our loyalty card. Giant Eagle was able to look up the gift card numbers and Disney replaced them for us within 24 hours... not only did they replace them quickly, but when we got to the Beach Club, we explained everything to the concierge (my ID had also been in his wallet, he had stashed it away for me because I was juggling the baby when we boarded, so we didn't even have an ID to check in to the room!); they were absolutely WONDERFUL and took care of everything for us. They took our cell numbers, sent us off into the parks to enjoy our vacations and not worry, and they had it all sorted out for us by the time we got back to the hotel that night (they even got Chase to overnight a new Disney Chase card to the hotel, signed for it and had it waiting for me the next day)!
