Disney Recipe Swap Part 2 - CLOSED!

Two of mine are done--just have to print the recipe for the third one! I'll try to mail these to you no later than next weekend! :thumbsup2

I'm glad they got there OK! Mind you, when they get back I might not be able to get them into the folder - it's looking pretty full now, and the seasonal recipe swap has to go in as well :scared1:

I may have to get my secret shopper to get me a vol. 2

I am going to print mine off now - so I can work on them.

I reread the swap info. I am not understanding about the Ziploc bag issue. Do you mean the kind that seals or don't use the kind that acutally has the zipper thingie on them? Sorry, I don't know the technical term.

What do you put them in so they won't get damaged in shipping?

Thanks for the help

I used gallon baggies...

You could wrap them in saran wrap, then put the whole lot in a gallon baggie... hmmmm....I think that's what I'm doing this time....

Yes, the zipper part of the baggies crunches down and makes marks on the recipe cards. Regular Baggies are better.

PS- Thanks Mazda for the goodies. I forgot to post this yesterday. sorry.

checking in, I was busy playing with the bag books, but like a good girl I put them aside and got back to these..lol..

pretty in tink and I should have ours in the mail this coming week. We went on a trip and did them while we were traveling! Time passed really quickly that way. We will probably send them together. It was a lot of fun for us and hope to get in on the next one too.

How do you get your recipes to print the direction they need to be in for this swap? I think I am making this way harder than it is. I have done 6 X 6 for so long, I can't think of how to do these.

HELP!

I cut the cardstock in 8.5 x 11" sheets. I print the recipes using a landscape orientation with two recipes on each of those sheets (side by side). I don't use the whole sheet (all the way to the bottom), though, so it gives room to adhere onto patterned paper and room for embellishments. It's pretty easy that way.

I'll try that.

Thanks

I hope when I described this that it made sense. I print the recipes in two columns so that each recipe is approximately 4 inches wide by maybe 6 to 6.5inches long approximately (so I can print more than one recipe on one page), then I cut them apart, and then I attach to patterned or whatever paper and embellish, etc. The recipe cards have been reading length-wise since the books we buy are that way (from Staples).

Sometimes I divide a page into 4 portraitwise, then I can fit 4 to a page of A4 (as long as the recipe is not too long)

I've done this, and the two to a page landscape and three to a page when I plan on embellishing up one side.

I'm printing my last recipe as we speak (type?). I'm going to assemble these tomorrow night (everything else is cut and ready), and I'll go postal by the end of the week! :)

Checking in as I'll be out of town this week. Have ideas, supplies & the recipe - will be working on this when I get back.

Mine are done! Yippee! Finished them today as I made end of year teacher gifts for DD preschool. Anywho, I hope to mail them tomorrow. I'll post when I do. :) Thanks for hosting!

I couldn't sleep last night, so mine are done! They probably won't go postal until close to the end of this week, but they are done!! Thanks for hostessing! :)

Well as I was packing them up, I realized that I only made 6. :rolleyes1 :confused3 Why, I couldn't tell you, but I had enough paper to make the 2 extras. So I don't know if I'll get to the PO today or later this week. I'll post when I do... :)
