We've never had time to go to Disney Quest before but are definately going to make time for it this upcoming trip. I'm not exactly sure what to expect though... can someone fill me in. Also how much time should I allow? It'll be me, DH & 2 DS; 14 & 9.

If you go first thing in the morning, I would plan for a good 6 hours. After that, I have to be honest, I get tired of being inside when the beautiful Florida weather is just waiting for me when I step out the door. 6 hours would definitely give you time to see everything at least once and have a nice lunch at the counter service restaurant on one of the upper floors.

That being said, I'm sure you could spend longer, and with your son's ages. I'm sure they'll have a ball.

Like the previous poster said, your DH and yourself may feel like heading out to a nice lunch at Bongo's or Wolfgang Puck's, or perhaps doing a little shopping while your kids play at DisneyQuest. Then again, many on these boards wouldn't leave their kids alone (not trying to spark a debate here) which is understandable as well.

We walked in just to check it out a couple of hours before we were to leave for the airport and what a mistake! We almost missed the plane! I didn't think it would have anything that would appeal to us (it was five adults) but boy was I wrong!! The interactive games were extremely fun and I'm not an interactive kind of person. The one that sticks out in my mind is the water rafting ride...you get in a real raft-like boat and are given real oars and as you watch the video screen, you maneuver your craft with the oars. The boat rocks and rolls and water splashes on you as you tumble down river. It was fantastic!!

Thanks for the insight!! I'll definately allow for more time - DS's live & breath video games! Going to DD is also a great tip - I always try to get some shopping time to myself - in that enviroment I'll hardly be missed!

DQ is the perfect place to take all your aggressions out on those old console arcade games from your past for free! I played Ms. Pacman for hours.

Also all the VR stuff is fairly entertaining - my fave was the Alladin's carpet ride.

This is definitly something worth spending time at... it's not your typical 'arcade' - plus there are attractions the whole family can enjoy.

dq is very fun. we go to dw during the fall/winter, when the parks close earlier. after the park closes we book it down to dq. we go there for several hours and then make several trips back during our stay. my brother is 12(in between your kids ages) and never gets board. its even fun for me. there are so many fun activities, build your own rollercoaster and then ride it, buzzlight year-bumber cars type game(love this one) theres a pinball game that is a blast. there are so many attractions, youll have a great time.
