What does the admission price cover? Do you have to pay for each attraction once you're inside . . . like a video game arcade or does the admission price cover that?

Also, our children are 7 & 10. Is it suitable for them or should we wait until they're older?

We just got back from our first trip to WDW and my two DSs age 7 and 11 couldn't get enough of DQ!!! They spent 6 hours there on Friday night with my DH, sis (age 24) and brother (age 15)..they loved it so much they spent another 7 hours there on Saturday!! I didn't go in but they told me that the only games you pay for are the games that award tickets for prizes. My kids and hubby are total video game/movie freaks and probably would have spent another whole day in there if I let them!

Thanks for the info. We've been to Disney so many times, but still haven't ventured into Disney Quest. What did you do while they spent so much time there? I don't think I'd last that long. I'm not that into video stuff. I can't even figure out Gameboy!

my kids loved the virtual reality...my 11 yr old made a roller coaster and got to "ride" in it and my 7 yr old loved the virtual reality game where you battle someone with a sword. Sorry i can't give u specfic names of the games but this is coming straight from them!! My husband liked the older games...pac man and stuff. Notice that they went without me cuz I really don't like video games at all, but neither does my 24 yr old sister really but she said she really enjoyed it in there. Me, on the other hand, got to enjoy shopping and a tasty Wetzel Pretzel (although they do sell cheesecake at DQ I heard!!!

What a hoot? Is that included in the price or do you have to feed it quarters like in the "old day." Ouch that hurts to say that. I remember Pacman from our dating days . . . watching my now DH playing it. Whever I got a chance, I bombed right away. Hmmmm. Some time to look around by myself? Sounds quite appealing, but then so does cheesecake and yes, I know DQ sells that. Cheesecake? A bit of quiet? Cheesecake? A bit of quiet? What to choose? I know DH, DD & DS will choose DQ! Thanks for the info.

The most I ever played in my life was pinball machines but my family wanted to visit DQ. We had such a good time there. There is lots for you to do. They had a Pirates of the Caribbean VR game were your whole family were in a ship fighting the pirates. It was a blast. I also enjoyed the White water rafting VR ride. I can' believe how fast the time this and this time when we return the family wants to get a pass that ill include DQ was they can visit often. I think you can shop anytime but DQ is only at Disney and If me at 42 years old (who never plays video games) enjoyed it you will too! Oh by the way - Everything is free except the games where you win prizes and there was so much for us to do, the kids never asked to play any of these.

Sorry about the typing mistakes I usually proof-read but didn't this time.

and funhouse8, don't worry about the typos. Sometimes the most important thing is to get the thought out. Besides in these two sentences I've had to corred . . . correct about eight mistakes! (LOL)

DQ was the compelling reason for us to purchase 10 day world passes this time, as opposed to park hoppers. I have 2 16 yr old boys going......so DQ should be a big hit.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho....We're off to Orlando.............

We went last Monday (6/2) with our 7 & 10 year olds. We arrived for opening at 11:30am and didn't leave until 8:15pm....and the only reason we left was that we had a MK FW cruise booked at 9pm. There's plenty, plenty to do! I especially loved the Pirates of the Caribbean where your whole family is on a virtual ship fighting pirates! You wear 3 d glasses and stand on a pretend ship and shoot cannons, etc. DS7 said his favorite was Aladain which was a real virtual reality thing. You put on a headset and you literally felt that you were on Aladins carpet and you had to guide it around to free Genie. I personally got kind of motion sick on this and didn't like it at all but DS7 rode it at least 15 times. DD10 spent ALOT of time playing "Dance, dance revolution" which is kind of like a video game but you are doing dance steps on a floor with sensors and you get scored...she still is talking about this daily. DH enjoyed everything he rode it all and did it all! I also like playing the video games without quarters, I played Tron, Ms Pac Man, centipede, tempest, dig dug, and lots of other games from my youth. DS7 had never seen alot of these games and became addicted to Dig dug and Centipede. The place was alot of fun for the whole family and we will do it again.

The only thing DS was too small for was the bumper cars....they have a ridiculously high height requirement and were very strict....I can't understand why, he can ride everything at Disney but not these silly bumper cars.

DH & I enjoyed some cheesecake and free internet access while snacking.

Definitely go and check it out but if your family is at all into video games....allow twice as much time as you think!

What's that? I know what park hoppers are, but am unfamiliar with this term. Thanks.

World Pass is a 10 Day Unlimited Pass, with no limit on what parks you can visit, how often, etc and includes the all Disney theme parks, water parks, Disney Quest, Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island and Wide World of Sports (all on an unlimited basis) ....It is basically the same as a Ultimate Park Hopper..but isn't "length of stay" timed/priced, rather is 10 days....period. It works out to be much cheaper than UPH. Truth be told, I don't think it is supposed to be sold to US residents....only UK and Ireland...but Paramount sells it to US citizens...not sure how long this will last. I tried to buy it from other vendors, but was denied when they learned that I was a US citizen. I paid $335 (tax incl.) for an adult 10 Day World Pass.....unlimited everything, including Quest....and you receive a charachter meal voucher with each pass.
