Is Disney Quest still open? Any idea when it is supposed to close?? Also do you still get vouchers for it in the package they mail you before your trip?

Still open. Current rumor has it closing sometime in 2017 now.

Yes, open with shorter hours.
No, closing date unknown, maybe even to Disney since the NBA deal fell through.
I do not believe the vouchers are included since no closing date known but folks have reported being able to use WP&M option there still.

Is DQ still something those that use to do still enjoy?
We have been going to Disney since my kids were very small, now they are 22 and 18 and we still haven't been but
thought on our next trip in December we would give it a try since I have 40 WPM options left from old 10 day non expiring tickets.
I'm sure there is a strategy for DQ too? We will be going between Christmas and New Years so it will be extremely busy.
Thanks for this thread :)

My 2 boys loved disneyquest. They are 8 and 10. I'm not sure how exciting it is for other kids. I think DH thought it was okay. I was bored. :D

My 21 and 13 yr old sons loved it. Spent most of a day there. I always enjoyed it. Hate to see it go. I am not a basketball fan so the NBA thing does nothing for me.

MY 8 year old son loved it last year. We are going in May with a baseball team and was trying to think of something to reccommend for parents who weren't spending as many days in the parks.

Huge hit with my twelve-year-old son. Used about 6 of our 10 "water park fun and more" options there in January last year, and again this year - which was great because there is no way I would have spent the $50 each to get in. He would happily spend all day from open to close there. I don't care for it, but I'm not a video game person at all. So, we'll be sad to see it close...or at least he will. Lol. We never had a plan for it. I just sit somewhere and read while he runs around like crazy and does his thing. In all of the MANY days we spent there on our last two trips, we never encountered any crowds or lines there at all.

I like it a lot more now that my kids are young adults. We seem to have a better time playing the games and I don't have to work at keeping track of them. I think DQ is a gem that Disney neglected.

I found this on allears dot net -

Prices current as of Sunday, February 28th 2016 (all prices include tax):

DisneyQuest 1 Day - $47.93 (Ages 10+); $39.00 (Ages 3-9); children under 3 are free.
It's been a while since we've been, but we went a few times as part of our WP&M over the years and always enjoyed it (both when the kids were younger and as young adults). I'll be sorry to see it go, if they carry out their plan to close it. It was fun as is and has potential for so much more.

I didn't realize the NBA deal fell through. I hope they don't end up closing DQ! We tried it for the first time a few months ago and had a great experience.

Thanks! We have APs this year (regular ones), so if we go it will be OOP. Not sure if I think it is worth the cash, but my DS really loved it when we went in the past using the WP&M....DH and I really enjoyed it as well - no quarters for our old 80's favorites!

Once you are inside DQ, is everything, meaning all games, included?

Thank you.

Yep! Except for any extras like an area where you make a toy (like Sid from Toy Story)...if they still have those types of areas!

You can make the (Sid's) toy or take the finger painting and drawing classes or (I think) record yourself in the sound booth for free but you would have to pay to receive the actual toy or picture or video disk to take home.

There are (were) some mechanical games(such as Skee Ball (tm) that dispense coupons redeemable for prizes. You need to pay extra for these.

All of the video games and pinball machines have override buttons so you don't need to put in money.

Strategy for Disney Quest: Go early on a sunny day.

All the ticket machines have been set to free play and no longer dispense tickets. This had something to do with a change in Florida law about gaming devices. I do love me some free play skee ball!

Does anyone know if tickets to Disney Quest are included in the "water parks and more" ticket option?
