We will have 2 free tickets with our package and was wondering if there would be anything that a 2 yr old could do there? We are not going to a park on our arrival day so was trying to find some things to do.I plan on doing the mini-golf that day also,so do you think it would be worth it to check out DQ or should we just skip it? Any other suggestions for things to do? Our flight gets in at 9:05 am and I didn't want to do a park this day because we will have been up since 2:00 am to travel to airport for our 6:30 am flight. And we will want to be back at the resort by early evening so we can get rested up for our pre-park opening ADR at TH the next morning.

There is a little kid area in DQ. I think it is geared more toward 4 year olds though. But if you 2 year old likes pushing buttons, it might be entertaining for a bit. Just running around downtown Disney and playing with the legos at the lego store and stuff can take a few hours with kids that age. Of course, with the construction currently, I'm not sure whether it would be as pleasant as usual.

Personally, I would probably skip DQ if your little one is only 2. There really isn't much for toddlers to do because it's mostly geared for the pre-teen/teenage crowd.

If you do go, how is your family with loud, sustained, noises? DisneyQuest is noisy! It's so loud that I only spent about 30 minutes inside before I had enough and was ready to go (and I like video games). Imagine being in a room with a hundred teenagers, add in lots of old-school pinball machines, and toss in a bowling alley for good measure...that's what it reminded me of! (Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but it was noisy!)

As the PP said, I would consider just hanging out in DTD. The Lego store has a play area, as does T-Rex (though, they would probably want you to have a reservation to do in that area).

Where are you staying? Could you spend some time hanging out by the pool?

No, not really. I would skip with a 2 yr old.

Well I was at WDW in April and DTD was packed both days we were there and the lego store was wall to wall people.I plan on going to the stores and walking around some this trip but MK closes early for a private party(not MVMCP)that night so I am glad to be back at the resort before the crowds roll into DTD ;)

I think we will plan on going to DQ since it won't cost us anything if we can't find anything to do we will just leave and move on.

My plan is to get to resort check in then go to Kona for lunch then do mini-golf then go to DTD and do DQ then walk/shop for awhile then back to resort. I did originally plan on the mini-golf first but for transportation reasons I figured it would be best to go from Pop to Mk get on resort monorail to the Poly then back to MK to take boat over to boardwalk and then after golf take bus to DTD.Is this the best way to go about it or are there better options using Disney's transportation anyone know?

Never thought about the noise that could be the deal breaker :) We are staying at Pop

There is no boat from the MK to the Boardwalk. You'll have to take a bus. If you're going to Fantasia Mini-Golf, you might consider getting off at Swan because it's the closest resort to the golf course. You'll have to walk to Fantasia Mini-Golf; you will need to cross Epcot Resorts Blvd and there is no stop light/sign.

To get to DTD, you'll need to walk back to the Swan (or one of the Epcot resorts) and then catch a bus.

It's worth noting that travel time can really cut into your plans. the rule of thumb is to allow about 45 minutes per trip. This allows for travel time (usually about 10-20 minute) and then some time in case you have to wait for the bus/boat to arrive. So you could be spending a few hours waiting for and riding Disney transportation.

Personally, I would probably skip one of the things you have planned for your arrival day. Looking at your schedule...(and assuming ideal conditions)...this is roughly what I'd think the timeline would look like (with the understanding that things may take longer or shorter depending on conditions and crowds).

9:00 am: Arrive at MCO (the rule of thumb is to allow about 90 minutes from when you land to when you arrive at your resort; it can be longer or shorter)
10:30 am: Arrive at Pop (assuming all goes well), check-in, drop off carry-ons, etc. Assume this takes at least 30 minutes.
11:00 am: Depart Pop for MK
11:30 am: Arrive at MK (it's only a 15 minute or so bus ride, but allow some time in case you have to wait for a bus)
12:00 pm: Arrive at Poly for lunch (again, it's a shortish monorail ride, but you have to walk to the station and then allow time if you have to wait). You could also take a boat from MK to Poly, but it goes to GF first.
1:00 pm: Finish lunch (assuming an hour and that assumes you're seated on time)
1:15 pm: Get back to MK (monorail or boat)
2:00 pm: Get to Swan (bus)
2:15 pm: Get to mini-golf (walking - probably won't take that long, but just in case)
3:30 pm: finish golfing (assume it takes about 75 minutes to play a round)
3:45 pm: Get back to Swan
4:30 pm: Get to DTD
Then it's a matter of what you want to do and see at DTD.

Overall, I think you'll be running around pretty ragged by the end of this.

Wow that just wore me out think I will skip the mini-golf and just go to DTD. Maybe do the mini-golf on our departure day since we have a late flight would be the better option.Thank you so much for taking the time to show me the time frame above it is greatly appreciated!

You could also do the Summer Winterland mini golf. You can take a bus directly to Blizzard Beach and just walk across the parking lot to get there. The walk from the Swan to Fantasia isn't overly long, but it's not "just over there" either, if your 2yr old doesn't have a stroller, you'll likely be carrying him most of the way.

Thank You! I think this is what we will do on our departure day just hop on bus to BB then walk to SWMG and then we can take the bus directly back to Pop from BB correct? So no need for transfers that would be so much better. Oh and we will have a stroller.

Yes, you can take a bus back to Pop directly from Blizzard Beach. Oh, and the course is called WinterSummerLand. I was having a dyslexic moment in my last post!

If I were you and based on my experience I wouldn't give DW a thought with a two year old. Not saying they would hate it but can't see they would get anything out of it either. I'd check in, unpack, check out the fun resort, find the kiddies playground (I am assuming there is one ), swim and chill out. If you really what to eat at Kona I'd check in, unpack, do Kona them explore the resort and swim. My children have travelled from the UK to the USA since they were little and the hotel pool is still their favourite thing. The timeframe my DS liked DW was aged 9 - 12.

I would not hesitate to take a two year old to DQ IF... you would take that same child to a boardwalk or similar arcade at home. There is a decent sized children's area there.

I would just follow the same formula I would anywhere else. Be prepared to leave at any time..

Remember the child you take to Disney is the same kid you have at home only they are exposed to much more excitement for more hours of each day. I have taken kids to Disney at age 6 weeks to 10 years and almost all ages between. If you know when your kid has had enough and are willing to find a quiet spot to wait until they are ready for more you will have a fantastic time.
