Disney Quest or Sea World?

We did both for the first time last year (Oct. '06)...and we were pleasantly surprised at how good SeaWorld was...

DQ - my boys really enjoyed it (8 & 6) but there really wasn't much for our daughter (2yo) to do, some of the waits even in off season were excruciatingly long (there are really only a couple of headliner games here)...I did enjoy some of the retro-games (donkey kong and asteroids) but this year we've decided not to go back...and this place is painfully loud, in fact since we had the "waterparks plus more" ticket we went to DQ a couple of times, but we never took our DD2 back after the first time (we would split up and take her elsewhere - she is just too little to enjoy all those video games)

SeaWorld - we've purchased a length of stay ticket for 13 days this year and plan on going at least 3 or 4 times...it's that fun...Kraken is awesome, Blue Horizons was great and the park just has a low key, relaxing feel to it...we even brought a picnic lunch and sat lake side all alone...it's not as intense as a Disney Park and you can't beat the free beer at the Hospitality House after a long afternoon with the kids...SeaWorld has something for everyone, DQ doesn't...

We love Sea World, and I think it is some place folks who visit need to see at leat once! They have wonderful shows, a couple great rides (according to others - I don't do them) and it's just an all around nice way to spend a day (or two). Although it can get crowded, I find the pace slower than Disney.

We love to go up in the skytower, feed the sea lions/seals - I could watch the for hours, Clyde & Seamore is a funny show. DD likes to climb and play in Happy Harbor (she is 10, but loves climbing the nets, etc). I absolutely love Blue Horizions, and pretty much all of the shows are worth seeing.

Seaworld had something to offer all ages. Tell your husband he can cool off in Happy Harbor with your little one.

we went once to dq. i do not really like those kind of things. i would def. choose sea world. i thought the other was boring. so didnt the kids after a while.

We went to both Sea World and Disney Quest this past Feb., I would recommend going to Sea World. Disney Quest was kind of fun, and they had a good couple of simulators. But I prefer Sea World, as do my kids (DD 13 & DS 17).

I'd choose SeaWorld, given the options...but have you considered a water park if it's too hot?

Seaworld.... There are places to get out of the heat... Tell your husband to look for the Anheiser Bush Pavillion for a bite to eat and a drink....

Personally, I'd add a few dollars to what you would have to pay for the SW ticket price & get a 7 day pass to Universal Studios & IOA. Many people seem to think these parks are only for older kids & adults, but there's lots of things for young kids to do. If you get there at opening, the lines aren't long at all. Leave for a rest & swim midday, then come back when it cools off in the evening. The lines are much shorter then also. With the 7 day pass, you can come & go as you please. My son prefers the Universal parks over all Orlando parks. It's more fun for the biggest kids(ahem.... DH's) too. :p If this doesn't interest you at all, I'm with the majority who say SW. We think it can get boring, if we go often. For a first time visit it's great though.

Given the ages of the children-definately Sea World.

sometimes the video arcade atmosphere of DQ can be overstimulating for younger children. Sea World has something for everyone-a few cool rides-Kracken and Water Flume(can't think of name) that are great for older kids and the shows and animals for everyone-Also-it is very close to MGV and if you need to escape for a little while, you can do that and come back later or even the next day-As was stated here SW has next day free and was even offereing an annual pass at a daily price-not sure if that is still an active promo.

We do like DQ but there is no way I would skip SW to go to DQ.
