It's been almost 2 years since I've been to Disney Quest, but I went yesterday with my 2 year old. They now have a Kid's Quest area, specially designed for ages 2 to 7. This area is great for kids that are too small to reach the adult machines or don't make height requirements for those games that require a certain height. They had a couple "stools" the kids could stand on to reach the games. My son had a blast. His favorite was a game where you control a bucket to catch "popcorn". He played that over and over again. This area is where the pay games use to be. Everything in this area was free, except the claw machines.

Thanks for that report. I, too, haven't been to Disney Quest in a couple of years and we were going to take DD9 this time and leave the 2 little ones with my mom, but now I think we'll all go. Thanks again.

Thanks for the report. I haven't been since 1999 and didn't think there would be much for my petite DD6. I think will check this out in September. :thanks:

Thanks for the report - going with DD5 the night we arrive while DW shops ( Hope we have cash left to eat the next 9 days:rolleyes2)

Thanks so much for the info. We went two years ago and are going again this year. Although I think the place was MADE for my DS (7), I wasn't sure how much my DD(3) would be able to do. Now I can't wait to go with the two of them!!!!

Thanks so much for that info. Last year I took my kids DS 10, DD13 and DD3 and the 3 year old drove me nuts. She got antsy because she couldn't do anything and there was no stroller to put her in with a toy, the cafe area took 45 minutes to find a seat so she could snack and get off my nerve while the big kids went on by themselves. Great to hear of a section for her this year. :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Would you say that Disney Quest is worth the visit?
My DH and I have a daughter who will be 2 next month and we are going to WDW in July with her and our son who will be around 3 months old.
We have never visited Disney Quest before and to be honest don't know much about it. Any information would be helpful!!

Thank you!!!

this is nice to know because we are going to disney world next year and my niece will be 19mos when we go. :cool1:

Disney Quest with an infant is very difficult. They don't permit strollers inside because it would be a fire danger with all of them in there. Strollers are parked outside the quest area. The air conditioning is very cold inside. I had to dress him for warm weather outside and bring something to bundle him up in layers for inside DQ. When he was small I used an infant carrier. As he grew we switched to the playtex hip hugger. Because it's just too difficult to carry them the entire time. When he was able to crawl, he was a disaster there, as people are too distracted by the sites and sounds to look out ofr a baby crawling.

For a toddler, Disney quest is great! Since they have an area they can use. (Just be aware that the unused electrical outlets do not have outlet plugs, and there are chairs located where the kids could stand up on them and fall into Buzz Lightyear astro blaster. And there are entry ways into the cafe and other areas here) so you can't leave them out of your sight for a second.) The games however, will entice them and keep their attention. We just went for lunch and stumbled across this area on our way out. We let him play for an hour. He was not ready to leave when we did and he put up a big protest.

Here's 2 pics I told on Tuesday. Sorry I didn't take more.

Please know that THE BEST hamburgers on Disney property are at Disney Quest!

The dessert area on the 4th floor has vanilla icecream that you can purchase separately. They don't have it marked on the menu. Often we get the souvenier cup filled with rootbeer and ask for a dish of vanilla...and we've got a rootbeer float!

If you buy the souvenier cup, refills are only $1.00 plus tax.

They use to have water and drinking cups available at the food area. Years ago someone slipped on the ice fallen on the floor, so they were removed. If you are opposed to drinking water from the fountain, you can always ask for a cup for water when you order food.

DQ on a rainy day...well, if you do this just know that many people get the same idea. It will be very crowded.

DQ on a sunny weekday...it's empty. Enjoy the place to yourself! From time to time school groups and day camps go on fieldtrips here. Only once was DQ packed with groups on a weekday when I went. And boy was it packed. Usually the crowds draw on a Saturday.

I sad to say that I read on a different website that DQ is closing in 2008 and a ESPN sportlounge will take it's place. So if this rumor is true, go now, so you don't miss the DQ experience.

Be sure to bring a sweatshirt, the temp is cold inside. However, when you play Mighty Duck's pinball slam, you won't be cold! You'll work up a good sweat!

There are height requirements for some games.

That's everything I can think of right now.

Forgot to add that the Alien game on either the 5th or 4th floor, can't remember, it very gory and graphic. It upset my oldest one when he was 8. I'm not sure if there is a height requirement for the game or not. But it's one you won't want to take your toddler to see.

lovthattink, how long do you think Kids Quest will my hold my Toddler? We will also have a 15month old with us as well.

How long should we plan for?
