I had never even heard of free dining until I came on here, and I have been to Disney 10+ times!! Anyways, my family & I had Septemeber 22nd -27th on hold before I had even heard of possible free dinig. We are going no matter what. Even the dining plan is new to me. Makes me so mad seeing we have gone the past 2 years, and the CM who booked us never even took the time to tell us about it. Anways, would you go ahead and book the reservation including dining through AAA?? Or would you just wait? I have all my ADR done, but I like to just have it finalized!! Is it easy to change to the free dining plan if it's offered? TIA!

Disney can be extremely frustrating that way. Don't get me wrong--I love the place, but they are notoriously tight-lipped about specials, discounts and promotions. You have to know exactly what you're looking for and ask specifically for it in order for it to apply. I don't know whether they just have too many different deals for CM's to keep track of, or if they just want to see how many rooms they can fill at rack rates, but it makes it awfully tough on the guests.

If I were you, I'd just wait until free dining has actually been announced, since it should be less than a week. You could make the reservation now, but if your room type or even resort isn't available, it could be a hassle to get it changed. If you keep checking these boards, it'll show up here the moment it's available. Good luck, and I hope you are finally able to take advantage of a promotion!

Are you thinking the AAA agent will automatically adjust you to the Free Dining if it's offered? If so, you need to make sure they do it. My reading of these boards have given me the very distinct impression that the AAA agents who actually do that type of service are few and far between.
