One of the ways I keep the Disney Magic in my family's life is through my hobby of gardening. Throughout our gardens, I have little touches of Disney magic with a small Mickey Garden Gnome and Tinkberbell birdbath in our front English-style garden to a Farmer Mickey statue in my vegetable gardens to a Disney Fantasy Rose Garden in one of our side gardens with roses, Disney statues of Alice in Wonderland characters, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, the Fab Five, several Disney topiaries and Disney stepping stones.

A few years ago, I purchased four Disney Princess Garden Statues and matching birdbath from the clearance section of the online Disney Store. I have three gardens in our backyard that need redesigning, and I kept the princess statues in boxes until I decided how to work them into one of my redesigns. Well, I think I've figured it out.

Jackson & Perkins has the "first in a series" of Disney Princess Rose Collections. The first collection has three roses as tributes to Belle, Aurora and Snow White. Check it out at the link below.

You could also complement the collection with the official Disneyland rose:

This would be a great gift for that Disney gardener in your life.

Oh, and I do not have a financial arrangement with J&P; although my wife would disagree since I have over 60 roses in my various gardens and most of them are from J&P.

I rec'd that email last week and forgot all about it, thanks for the reminder, I started a rose garden a couple of years ago, my DS bought me 2 bushes for mothers day, sadly one did not survive but the other one is doing wonderfully it is a deep red so I think the princess ones would be ideal for my garden :)

You're welcome! J&P has a limited guarrantee on their roses. If you order from them, be sure to check it out and keep the receipt. They have been very good about replacing roses that have died within the "warranty" period - no questions asked.

And for folks who are hesitant about growing roses, modern roses are not as "fussy" as they used to be. Be sure to give them a minimum of 8 hours of sun a day, water regulary, fertilize a couple of times a year and protect them in the winter you're in an area that gets snow. You can even grow roses in pots in you live in a condo or apartment with a balcony/patio or have a small garden area. J&P sends a rose care booklet with every order.

Thanks for the link to the princess roses. I had seen the Disneyland rose and added both to my "favorites". I would especially love to have the Disneyland rose and maybe the Sleeping Beauty one as it would be a sweet memory of when our DD became engaged in front of Sleeping Beauty castle at DL! :goodvibes
