Disney Play App

It looks like the Disney Play App has gone live for Android/Google Store already. I just downloaded it and it looks fun. I was able to try out the Trivia games without being in the park, but other things require location services and guests to actually be in the parks. There seems to be some things to do while in line and roaming around the parks (and another way to drain your phone's battery! ).

Oh! It released for iOS too! I had it preordered but didn’t realize it was already downloaded. I look forward to trying it out in a couple of weeks (but if it becomes popular I hope it isn’t used as an excuse for Disney to skimp on queue theming).

Any idea when EPCOT and Animal Kingdom will make it to the Android version? (I'm on iOS, but my wife is on Android.)

I hate to rub it in, but right now, it sounds like the iOS version is getting all the good features. Apparently, you can play trivia and listen to music even if you are not in the park. I did it from home the other night. I really like the app. However, I wish I could buy the playlist instead of having to do an Apple monthly subscription Oh well, I'll just listen to the music I have purchased and Subsonic Radio for free.

Has anyone experienced any problems with the DL app since downloading the new Disney Play app? Some people are reporting that the new app is causing the DL app to crash or that there are other issues between the two apps.

Ohhh was just going to download the new app, but see your post theluckyrabbit and will wait! We dont go until December so I can wait if I have to.

I have an iPhone and have been playing trivia and listening to music at home (which is in California but very far from Disneyland). I have not had any problem with the new play app or my Disneyland app
