MY SON KEEPS GOING ON ABOUT HIS FRIEND SWAPPED DISNEY PINS AT DISNEYLAND. I HAVE HEARD ABOUT THIS BEFORE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE A FUN IDEA FOR BOTH MY CHILDREN TO DO.

HOW DO I LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS?

DOES ANY ONE HAVING ANY THEY DON'T WANT THAT MY CHILDREN CAN TAKE AND SWAP? I WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY OR SWAP.

ANY INFO ON THIS WOULD BE GREAT.

Hi Donna,

My kids love to trade pins at DL and WDW too. Many of the cast members wear lanyards with pins on them and the kids can trade with them. The CMs will trade any pin from their lanyard for your pin as long as it is a Disney pin that is not already on their lanyard. Usually, I try to get some reasonable priced pins from online stores or ebay before we go to DL or WDW. It really makes the vacation a lot more fun for the kids.

My kids have had lots of fun trading, and it is a great way to talk to cast members. I just purchased each of them a set of clearance pins from the disneystore.com They averaged about 2.71 per pin, and they now have 7 future trades.

You can usually find packs of 'trader' pins at cheappins.com and on ebay -- (although on ebay, it is definately buyer beware!)

Another place for trader pins and more pin info would be over at dizpins.com at the top of the page, there is a link to the dizpins boards -- There is a board for general info, and then there is a sale board.

There is also a pin database at pinpics.com

It's great for kids, and as a previous poster said, is a good way to positively reinforce good manners.
