Disney pin codes + Bill = TROUBLE *11/01 Almost time for our Happy Place*

Hey, if you adopt me, I'll do the stretches for Bill myself!

:rotfl: You are too funny.

Aww, shoot! I had it all mixed up in my head and thought you'd be able to hook up with the other DISers at the RFC!! :sad2:

Your pictures are fabulous... so many stars... and you look mahvelous, BTW!! Your hard work is paying off!! :goodvibes

I loved your mini-TR and the way you surprised Abbey and Josh with the Disney trip!! :lovestruc How awesome that Kassie and the club president were so commited to making the event acessible for Bill, er, I mean "Wild Bill!" :rotfl:

Abbey seems like a real doll.... you should call her "The Josh Whisperer!" ;)

Kathy

Thanks Kathy. We had a great time, I do like Super Soap better in someways and this better in others. With Super Soap there are about 10 actors from each soap. This weekend had many stars from General Hospital, 3 from One Life to Live (our favorite), and only 1 from All My Children :sad2:.

Kassie is a lovely person inside and out. Abbey is a sweetie, we adore her, Bill loved that you called her "The Josh Whisperer" :thumbsup2.

Kassie....so hot and so nice........

They all seem pretty down to earth which is so cool...

My roommate is a huge ABC soap fan and she watches her TiVo'ed shows every night. Both her BF and I pretty much know everyone on the shows. So I know everyone in your pix...and i kinda know their storylines too.

Families...you love them...you hate them...they bring out the best and the worst in you.

Hi Jordan, Kassie is even more gorgeous in person. You are right about them being down to earth. The woman that plays Elizabeth on General Hospital, Rebecca Herbst facebooked me yesterday, they really seem to enjoy meeting people, she is TINY in person. So what is your favorite storyline and your fave soap Jordan?

You are right about the best and worst, he seems to revert to the angry teen when he doesn't get his way, I just have to adapt on how to change how I react and I am getting better :thumbsup2.

Yay! What a great mini-TR from Nashville! What celebrities you guys are! How fabulous!!!

I love all the pics and all the detail Tracy!!! I can't wait to hear about your dates (for a minute there I was wondering how you got stickers to sparkle on your scrapbook page....:lmao:)

You look amazing, by the way!!! :thumbsup2

Sara

Apparently the DIS CP didn't think I should see your pics! But FB did. great times! I am a huge All My Children fan (since I was like 16).

Hi Kat! I am glad you got to see the pics. I am so happy to have another AMC fan on here!! Cameron Mathison wasn't signing or even really meeting with people but the lady next to us seemed to know him and he came right over :rotfl:. Bobbie Eakes is really sweet in person. We had a great time.

Love your mini-TR Tracy! Sounds like the trial trip was a success for the most part. Good for you for handling Josh the way you did. I'm sure that was tough to do.

The scrapbook you made is adorable! And I too was wondering how you got those glittery stickers on there for a minute. :lmao:

Can't wait for more trip details!

I am dying to know your vacation dates...I have a guess....wonder if I'm right.....

“All of our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Walt Disney

Bill is the one with the courage in our family. He never shies away from a challenge. Getting all of us to WDW was his latest challenge. I am the “Debbie Downer” of the group. I have all the “we can’t, we shouldn’t, how could we” and other questions, while he says “everything will work out” in that calm voice of his.

I already talked about how he convinced me to modify reservations and add a ressie for the “kids” that is what we call Josh, Abbey, Hannah and Christian. Then the doubts started creeping in like they usually do:

I did have a couple of questions before I called WDW that day. The conversation went like this:

Me: Bill, don’t you think this is way too much money to be spending on a vacation?

Him: You can’t put a price tag on memories Tracy.

Me: The airline tickets will be crazy for 6 people.

Him: We are going to drive this time.

Me: We?

Him: Well you, but we will have a fun trip down and back.

Me: Six people cramped in a van for 2 days down there and 2 days back? (we have to break it up into 2 days because Bill couldn’t handle being in the van for 14 hours straight)

Him: The excitement of going to WDW will help us get down there and we will all be too tired to argue on the way home (LOL)

Me: You know there will be issues with Josh, right?

Him: I will handle Josh, I want to have a real family vacation with all of us, please just trust me and believe that it will all work out.

Me: Ok.

(we have since decided to fly, I think it would be better for all our sanity)

We looked at the dates available in the code, it would have been great to just keep the dates we had for December, but I didn’t want to drive in possible snowy conditions and we knew it would be close to end of term for Christian. He might have tests so we knew we couldn’t pull him out of school then. Yep, we are going to be those people. When I had talked to Abbey about it before she said the kid’s school did not have an issue with kids taking days off as long as they informed them ahead of time. I would think we will be taking homework with us that can be done before we go, on the drive there, or sometime at WDW.

To limit the days they would be away from school we looked at the calendar. I looked around the Ip Dip trip but they are probably going to only get off one day for Columbus Day. They always get a couple of days off around Veteran’s Day so that looked like a great time to go. We love that time of year in WDW, the first Christmas Party is Nov. 10th, so we could take them to it. We could catch the last weekend of the Food and Wine Festival, and most of all Bill and I might be able to arrange a meet with a very important Trip Report Writer

.

We decided on the dates and I dialed the number to modify the reservations. So what did I modify? Where are we staying and when?

Where: I changed us from the Polynesian Resort to Pop Century, got us a king roll in shower room, asked for the ground floor, then I made a reservation for them asking for a connecting room.

When: We leave Illinois on Nov. 3rd, traveling to Nashville or St. Louis depending on the flight prices, staying the night, then arriving at WDW on Nov. 4th. We will stay at Pop until Nov. 11th. then flying back home.

WDW with kids makes me nervous, PLEASE give me tips. I am begging you, please, please, please, talk to me about this. I am already anxious about it and need help not worrying myself to death about it.

Next installment…Let the planning begin!

:rockband::yay::woohoo::cool1::dogdance:party:

Second of all...

Oh!!! I cannot believe you kept this secret from me, you stinker, you!!!!

(Naturally, I am thrilled!) Boy oh boy... I am just floored!!!!

Kathy

I knew it! I just knew that Tracy would end up at WDW the same time as Kathy as soon as she cancelled Ip-Dip. I love it when I'm right

Well, Heidi, you're good! :smooth: You could've knocked me over with a feather!!

I was honestly thinking they would be keeping their dates closer to Chrismastime... :santa:

Kathy

I was thinking closer to Xmas myself.....

I'm very jealous that you will probably get to see each other AGAIN!!!!!!!! but happy at the same time....

Tracy....GH is probably my favorite soap...but the bianca baby switch was my all time favorite storyline....lots of crying....

I'll try and come up with some hints about travelling to WDW with kids...but something right off the top of my head....include them in some of the planning....they love it.

Yay! Another Tracy and Bill pre-trip report! I'm in!!!

I did WDW with a group that included seven kids a little more than a year ago (two are mine, five are my sister's), so hopefully I will have some constructive advice.

Mostly what I'd say is #1- DON'T plan to spend every moment together or you'll all go nuts and #2- if the kids will let you babysit, let their parents go out to dinner/whatever while you have a pool and Pop Century night. We went with my parents, and they spent an evening at POP with my kids while hubby and I explored Downtown Disney and had HUGE margaritas.

Looking forward to more trip planning fun!! :woohoo:

Well, I can't help you on tips for doing WDW with the kids, but...

:woohoo::yay: for deciding to fly rather than drive. That would be too long of a drive with all those "kids"!

And :yay: for being able to meet up with Kathy! How fun!

Hot diggity dog!!! I'm so happy for you, Tracy! I think you picked a fabulous time to go! And with the added bonus of a meet with Kathy? Very cool! :thumbsup2

I'll be here to help with any advice you need on taking the "kids"! I've made trips with a gaggle of them before....:rolleyes1

I did the same thing- almost identically in fact! 2 Moms, 7 kids (5 of them mine) with my parents.

It was a NIGHTMARE logistically! Please!!!!!! Plan to spend more time away from each other than with. I'd say plan a couple of hours each day or maybe a meal together, then the rest stick to your plan, and do what you want to do. If you do it together, you'll go crazy!

I wrote a lot about this in my TR (link in my siggie)- there's a lot of hints and don't do's there. ;)

Hooray for dates!!! And yea flying will probably ensure you all like each other during the vacation lol.

Yay for getting to see Kathy!!

Yay for flying!!

Yay for the F&W Festival!!

Yay for the Christmas Party!!

Sounds like you picked the perfect dates! You get to do it all!!:banana:
