Disney pin codes + Bill = TROUBLE *11/01 Almost time for our Happy Place*

Target is one place I could spend alot of time in.....I don't go that often myself. I like knowing it's always there to provide me with my Travel Size fix...;)

:thumbsup2

I love your binder Tracy!! I can't believe it's your first time.

And I have to say that you made a huge improvement on the "Help" cards... Mickey Heads! :cool1: I have a cricut machine too, so maybe next time my cards will look like MM too. :thumbsup2 Glad you think the cards will be helpful.

I loved your cards!! The Mickey head idea just hit me one night and Bill kept saying "what are you cutting out over there?" I said just wait and see.

Well, Tracy, I'm staying up waayy too late tonight, but I haven't had time to DIS in a few days and I'm getting my fix!! ;) When I saw you had a Binder post, I had to drop in!!

I absolutely LOVE your binder so far! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Amy's help cards are inspiring me as well; I'm definitely going to make up some social stories for Billy to use on this trip. (Definitely one for Space Mountain being closed during our visit... he will not accept this and we're going to have trouble I fear!) Having the kids read the Mickey-Head cards can also be a great way to pass the time while waiting in lines... sometimes a simple diversion is priceless!

The step-by-step descriptions of what the kids should expect are going to be so helpful... even for the "little things" like checking in to the hotel and waiting for the bus. The mental rehearsals are often quite necessary so the kids expectations are in tune with real-life situations.

I've been dragging my heels with my own binder. (I will re-cycle a good part of it, so I don't have as much work to do.) I guess I'm just waiting for August 1st, too!! :sad2:

We're in the same boat, I suppose, but if I had to be in that same boat with anyone, I'd choose you!

Kathy

I showed my DH your binder and he was shocked I had not done one before.

Do you carry it in the parks or do you just leave it in the room. This is the first I'm hearing about them.

I think it's wonderful how you are trying to help the kids understand what to expect and find ways to handle the disappointments. It can be so overwhelming for people of any age who have never been. And those Help cards are awesome!:worship:

Amy's cards were fantastic!! Oh I hope Billy is ok when you get there and Space Mountain is closed. Thanks for saying that about the mental rehearsals, I think some people thought I was nuts to get that detailed, but I know it will help Christian.

I hope the hours come out August 1st, sometimes they don't come out on the first day of the month :scared1:, at least that is what I have read about past months.

We will sink or swim together :rotfl:.

I will not be carrying that in the parks, I am going to be putting ADR confirmations etc on my blackberry. I wanted the binder as a tangible thing for Christian to read in the hotel room.

Thank you so much. I just want them to have fun and try to help some of the anxiety. Disney is a huge place and you really can't quite explain that, it has to be seen to be believed. Amy's help cards were amazing, I just tweaked them a bit.

Wow Tracy! Your binder is amazing!:worship: I actually got teary eyed looking at it - I'm a nut! :lmao: What a fantastic idea for the kids (and adults!).

Thanks for posting the Ace picture - always love to see cute doggies! :goodvibes

The Binder is looking way COOL!!!! :cool1:

I've already started making and adding new stuff to my binder for the next trip....:rolleyes1

Love your Maps, they are very nice. I saw your response to Heidi, I will trying googling the images, I'd love to have some 8 x 10 ones like yours :thumbsup2

and the Mickey Heads for the help cards so clever! I would have never thought of that. The social stories I created for Michael for our last 2 trips our just pasted on plain 'ol rectangles. I may "borrow" that :goodvibes

thanks for sharing.

PS LOVE Target! and there is one 5 minutes from my house I was there today but had to but the blinders on and stick to the 3 things I really needed

Tracy your binder is AMAZING!!!!!! I love it! I think the kids will really like it and be so helpful. I also like the scrapbooking pages!

Tracy your binder is AWESOME! I am very impressed. I made one last time, but was planning on not making one this time. Now I'm rethinking...hmmm.

Your Help cards are way cool too. I'd seen Amy's and Scrappie's and I love them on the Mickey Heads.

And you gave me a great idea with that too. I'm making the kids backpacks to carry around the parks (that was Michelle's idea...I was going to carry a backpack with their stuff and she said make them carry it! So I am. Though I will have a backpack too). Anyway, I wanted a small "notepad" for them to draw or write on to go in there. I've been waiting for Target to put out the new $1 section Disney stuff to see if they'd have anything, and all I've seen is Camp Rock and Wizards of Waverly Place. My DSs like the shows, but the stuff is awfully girly looking. So I'm going to MAKE them notepads in the shape of Mickey Heads with my Cricut (which I've had for a few months but never used either-I just got the Disney Font cartridge the other day). So thanks for that!

Can't wait to read more. :thumbsup2

Hi Michelle, Thank you so much. You aren't a nut, I get emotional looking at it too. I just hope this trip is a good one. There will be more pictures of Ace :rotfl:.

Your binder looks awesome, Tracy! What a great keepsake, too. :thumbsup2

Thanks Carissa.

Thank you so much. The notepad idea is great!! I get in moods to do the Cricut then I mess with it for hours, then I am done.

This was on the bottom of page 2....just bumping it up

Thanks Jordan

Sara

YEAH!!! on the double digit dance!

:dance3::banana::cool1::cheer2:

I did mine about 7 weeks ago and it seems like just yesterday. You will be at 52 days soon too (of course at that point we'll be in SINGLE digits...but I won't rub it in...much). ;)

Thanks everyone for dancing with me, although Heather you are mean for rubbing it in about how quickly your trip is coming up :lmao:. (I would do it too if the roles were reversed :rotfl:)
