Disney pin codes + Bill = TROUBLE *11/01 Almost time for our Happy Place*

:cool1::yay::dance3::banana: WOO HOO!!! about the $600. It's nice that it comes when you need it, isn't it?

Yes, it is very nice!

Thanks!

Yay! That's fabulous, Tracy! See...this trip is gonna be great! :cool1: You've got great pixie dust so far! :yay::yay::yay:

Sara

Oh we have gotten a little more pixie dust, I will tell all of you about it later. :rolleyes1

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

Score on the PIN!!!! That's awesome! We got one, too. As tempted as I am, I just can't use it.

Must.

Wait.

Until.

January.

:sad1:

The pins are so tempting, they know they have Bill and I hooked on them. I was hoping we would get this one. I just knew it would save more than the AP code we had. Six people on the dining plan isn't cheap :rotfl: and I love the fact that we have the tickets taken care of this way too.

That is so awesome!!!! This trip is turning into a money saving adventure.

I am very pleased about saving money, I was getting really stressed about things and this helped put my mind at ease.

Congratulations on getting a pin code:goodvibes
It's good to know they send them out even if you have trip booked already.

We are hoping for free dining for our trip too. pixiedust: So far no such luck but there is still time.

I am sorry about Amy  It's a shame that she doesn't realize that being a friend involves some kindness from her in return.

Can't wait to hear more about your trip and I hope you post pictures of your binder soon. Personally, I love my Passporter.

Lo and behold what did I find in my email this afternoon?? A free dining pin code for the time we will be at WDW in November. We already had an AP code but I wanted to see how much it would be with a package. This way we wouldn't have to buy the tickets separately and just have everything together. Josh is notorious for losing things so this would be safer.

My friendly CM looked it up, and this code saved us $601.00 from what the rooms would have been and the tickets we would have purchased!! Somebody dance with me please!!!

Thanks Kat! No Disney Fuzzy Math though, I need to stick this back into savings, then I won't worry so much about money.

Congrats on the awesome savings Tracy! That must have made your day/week/month!:banana:

(One of these days I'll get a code...... :rolleyes1)

:dance3:

very happy for you! I got one in the mail for Nov-Dec and am DYING to try to figure out a way to use it.

Ok, I'm all caught up!

  1. You haven't bored me to death
  2. Bill is amazing
  3. Binders can be a good thing (although personally I'm partial to 4x6'ing it all so it fits in a brag book type photo album, very portable) and using outlook and my smart phone lol ol)
  4. Anything you do will be great, for the kids.
Everyone handles what kinds of things to do for kids, differently. Don't feel you "have" to do a bunch of things for them, do what feels right to you. My first trip to DLR was with my now SM, my fathers then GF. They took us to DLR. I got a t-shirt. I was over the moon. It was really that simple.

It got ruined on the way home. I cried. I'm still not over it. :lmao: But my mom and I still joke about it. It's actually a great memory.

We don't do countdowns. We do custom maps. I didn't do lanyards and pins ahead of time, I did get new surprise jibbitz for their crocs. We didn't do matching t's. We did do surprise coffee cups for all. Anything, and everything, will be wonderful. The trick is not thinking too hard :)

Loving your PTR so far and congrats again on the savings!

Hi...found your PTR yesterday, and just finished reading all 20 pages! Wow, you and Bill seem like a great couple...so wonderful of you both to make this pixiedust: for your family.

Just had to comment on a few things...

1) one of the things that drew me to your PTR was the black ribbon/purple monorail...that tragedy has also touched me. it's so great that you and Bill will be wearing the pins in tribute to Austin.

2) love your craftiness (is that a word?) ;) may have to "borrow" some of your ideas for mousekeeping env and window clings. didn't know i could make my own...thanks for that tip! and for the link of the stick figures! :cutie:

3) love the "surprise" video for the kids...looking forward to one day making one of those for DS when he gets a little older. :yay:

4) the Dis has also brought out my inner "binder person". i'm not quite at full binder level...but believe me i'm close :rotfl:

5) congrats on the sweet airline deals :woohoo: and the pins... :rolleyes1 one day my "pins" will come?!

Looking forward to more updates and if I can help, having traveled to the world with DS a few times already, just let me know. :goodvibes

Hi Michelle!! Thank you it really did make us happy!

The banana guy is dancing for me. We have been blessed so far with our trip and am very thankful.

I know, when we get a pin I think "how can we use this so I, er um I mean we can get back to WDW!!!"

I definately agree that Bill is amazing . I am calming down more about what the kids "need". I just went nuts for a little bit :rotfl:.

Hello and Welcome!!

Every time I see a picture of a monorail no matter the color I think of Austin, so very sad that happened.

You can borrow what ever you like, I like to share.

I had fun making the "video". I think I will keep it a surprise to Abbey too.

I am having fun with the binder.

I was so happy about the airline and pin deal, it just made the trip seem more real and not so daunting.

Very happy for you!

Thank you so very much!

In my view, wholesome pleasure, sport, and recreation are as vital to this nation as productive work and should have a large share in the national budget. – Walt Disney

WARNING - This installment is picture and smilie loaded, so if you don't like that kinda thing you might wanna skip it.

Well it seems people actually have been asking to see this binder
confused24.gif
. There have been so many great ones, mine doesn’t even compare, but it seems like it will be functional, it will be something Christian and Hannah can look through, and it will keep everything organized. That is if I don't forget it at home or leave it at the hotel like I did with our confirmation numbers in Nov. 2006 :scared:.

Let's look at some purchases first shall we?

T-shirts for Christian:

Not only am I an OCDTP - Obsessive compulsive Disney Trip Planner, I have now become a TAA - Travel Aisle Addict. Yes, I fully admit it, isn't that the first step to recovery
crazy.gif
??

I am finally starting to use the Cricut machine Bill’s mom bought me 2 Christmases ago. I was looking at the shapes I had on a Disney font cartridge and it had a MICKEY HEAD. So I thought I would make something for us to carry in the parks with goals, safety, and the all important Help Cards (I totally “borrowed” the wording from DisMomAmy
thanks.gif
, they were brilliant, why change it
?). These are not completely done, I will be laminating them and hole punching the left ear
cry1.gif
(sorry Mickey) and putting them on a round key ring.

Here are the covers, the safety one is for the goals and parks stuff, the other is the help cards:

Now finally…Ladies and gentlemen I give you THE BINDER. The first section is information about the trip, confirmation numbers, and mousekeeping envelopes. I was detailed about how things would go because Abbey said it would really help Christian with structure:

Cover and first section:

The page below has clip art of a Cast Member tag to give them an idea of what one looks like, although when I get to Pop Century I am going to have them go with me to talk to a Cast Member and show them an actual name tag so they will know what to look for if they ever get lost.

(I moved the mousekeeping envelopes after the pic was taken)

I know I have gone way overboard, but this is our first time with kids and I was having fun
yay-1.gif
doing it.

2nd section: Daily schedules. I have nothing to show you since Disney decided to go to the stoopid 90 day window. I am still very bitter about this
eyetwitch.gif
.

Continued in next post ...

3rd section: Maps/Park information. Right now all it has is copies of park maps. When the hours come out I will be putting the hours schedule for each park, I will also be checking out Steve Soares site to see the entertainment schedules when we get closer and print things out in reference to that.

newptrpicsfornov2009030.jpg

I don’t care what happens to these, I have actual copies of park maps as well, so if Christian wants to take these out and look at them he can.

4th section: Restaurant information. I will have a spreadsheet (I "borrowed" from ddstratton, her binder skillz rock
music-smiley-005.gif
) to keep track of everywhere we intend to eat with the confirmation numbers. I have the tip envelopes printed out, letters/invitations to each restaurant I am planning on getting ADR’s for, and menus.

newptrpicsfornov2009031.jpg

5th section: Special plans. Nothing in it yet, but this section will have stuff about Kim Possible, Kidcot/passport info for Epcot, and MVMCP information.

I have almost drained the new color ink cartridge
thumbsup.gif
. It doesn’t look too bad so far, I like it.

In my last installment at the end I said something about the binder and “a meet in the making”. KathyRN137
hug.gif
and I are going to be trying to coordinate getting our families together to do something for the trip, we are batting around a couple of ideas. We ruled out a Wishes fireworks cruise because there would be 11 of us and the maximum on the boat is 10. We have figured it will be easier to come up with something after the November hours come out. I am very excited to see her, Ed, Tricia, and Billy again.

Here is a picture of the scrapbooking page I made from the trip when we met them in Nov. 2007:

003.jpg

It will be nice to get to meet Katie, Kathy’s niece as well.

There is only one more picture I want to show, I haven’t posted a picture of the furbaby lately (bad mommy bad
thf37352c84e546edc2e6c41608a40b958c.gif
), so here you go:

newptrpicsfornov2009010.jpg

Next up… more purchases (please stop me, someone stop me) and thoughts about the upcoming Smoky Mountain trip.

Everything looks great!!! You are doing awesome on your binder... The kids will love everything!!

Great job on the PIN code too! I keep hoping I get one, we have always wanted to see WDW at Christmas time... Free Dining is just too good of a deal for us... For our 2 week trip it saved us $1700.00!!
