I just thought that this shot embodied the CRT experience in a nutshell. Autograph signing and photos, with a good meal going cold. :cool1:

ok I'll post one...

From the Enchanted Adventures Parade at the Pirate & Princess Party:

Very nice composition Joe- getting Main St and the Castle in the background. I would enjoy seeing a color version of this as well.

Thanks Jeff... I shot this in RAW and Cinderella and her Prince were fairly blown out from the powerful lighting used on the float. The last thing I did was convert to BW and unfortunately I didn't save the color version. Maybe I should start doing that. If I have time tonight - I'll process it again in color, just for you ;)

Matthew (alllmost 8 months old) visited Disney (his 2nd trip) this past weekend. Will post another later.

What program do you use for processing? I have had very good luck recovering highlights in CS3 by multiplying duplicate layers. I'd love to give it a shot.

What program don't I use would probably be a better question... :lmao:

For the most part I use Paint Shop Pro X2. For RAW conversion I use a freeware program called RAW Therapee... GIMP for the few things that Paint Shop Pro X2 can't do. Noise Ninja to get rid of noise. A couple other basic editors for small things... PM me your email address and I'll email you the .nef file... I'd like to see what you could do with it!

Crystal Palace - Eeyore just visited our table & Matthew took off after him (come back, Eeyore!)

For Jeff (Gdad):

B&W:

FYI I was wrong this was a jpeg. I brightened the background considerably, which added a lot of noise, so Noise Ninja was a necessity here. Colors enhanced a touch from original - and fixed blown out Cinderella's and Prince's faces/upper bodies best I could... I personally like the B&W better...

"Eric" the Glass blower in a Main Street shop, can't remember the name of it (SOOC- No post-processing):

Joe- another beautifullly composed shot!!
Although you did a fantastic job on the B&W conversion, I actually think I like the color better! :)

I see you added a new piece of glass to your siggy! :thumbsup2 Have you had a chance to use it much yet?- let us know how you like it!

Thanks Alan! Yes, I did splurge the other day and picked up the Nikkor 70-300mm VR lens. I haven't had much of a chance to mess around with it, simply for the fact that the weather just isn't warm enough to go outside taking pictures (for me anyway). From what I've seen though I like it a lot! I'm able to take pictures with a 1/10 shutter speed at 300mm with little if no blur, hand held ... pretty impressive this VR system in my opinion. Yeah, I can't wait to really try it out this spring/summer. The only bad thing is my camera bag keeps getting heavier.
