That's a cool photo, YEKCIM :thumbsup2 ...no one can take an absolutely monotonous subject and turn it into photographic art at its best quite like you... Nice work on that one!

[just to clarify, that was meant as a compliment]

Thank you, Joe; I really appreciate your saying that, although I have to point out that my hard drive is cluttered with tons of pix from those four days that did not turn out...uh...quite like I'd imagined, and will never make it as a POTD! That's the nice thing about digital, though...if you shoot enough (I shot abt 2600 in four days...) you're bound to get a few keepers!

This particular shot was from the "secret" pathway between Tomorrowland and Toontown. Mrs Y had parted company with the small child and me, to do some secretive birthday shopping for said small child. That gave small child and me an hour or so to wander about snapping pix. Small child was not too happy about the bad ole Dad's obsession with photography, but had no choice in the matter. Anyway, since I was not being hurried along to the next checklist item by Mrs Y, I devoted that little stroll from TL to TT thru Fantasyland, by the castle, and down Main Street, almost exclusively to photography, and some of my better shots came from that little one hour diversion.

Have a good weekend...

~Ed

Oh, love your "hidden Tink" shot, btw! Strange that it did not show up in anyone else's pix; were you using some sort of infrared filter or something??????

here's out potd -- can't take credit myself, my dd14 had a habit of just randomly taking photos as she was walking

Funny story with your manhole cover.....both my DDs loved to find hidden mickeys, they both thought that they were big stuff to find the "hidden mickey" on the manhole covers....I didn't have the heart to tell the, that most of the manhole covers had the mickey on them.

Also, my one daughter kept call them "lost mickeys" instead of hidden mickeys.:lmao:

Thanks for the smile your picture brought me today, I really needed the pick-me-up!

Here are my only pictures of the train. (2004)
Does anyone have some good shots of this train that they can post?

...that is so funny! You just couldn't let it die, could you Joe?!

I mean, that is hysterical, really! Your brain was really thinking! :rotfl: :rotfl:

whats funny is that the chimpanzee was not originally planned on the tree of life... they had jane goodall at the opening ceremony of AK, and realized there was no monkey on the tree of life!!
