I think that was taken fairly late- like 11pm- I'm sure it was much cooler by then- like around 92F.

Ahhhh...that looks so relaxing (as long as it's not 95F and 100% humidity, that is!).

I did not know you got to be in the parade too! Isn't that F-U-N?? One of the best memories of the whole trip was riding in the parade, making eye contact with some little kid, and watching his/her face light up.

I can't take credit for the pix, as Mrs. YEKCIM's and my Nikon s are secured around our necks, as you can see. To give credit where it is due, the photographer was CM Lynette, using a Kodak ISO 800 disposable 35mm camera. Regardless, this was a HUGE thrill for our family, and a wonderful memory of our '07 visit.

While we're still on the MK statue kick, I thought I'd offer my first contributions to this thread:

Are you sure you weren't? It seemed like the entire population of FL was at WDW the four days we were there! Every park was packed by about noon or so. With Commando Mom in charge, however, it was not a problem for us. By the time the late risers made it thru the turnstiles, we were done with the "biggies" and were looking for a nice, cool place to eat lunch before returning to the resort for the afternoon. BTW, I think Mrs. Y may be on the cusp of becoming a "convert". She remarked on Wednesday, after we departed, that she was "not Disney-ed out", and was also heard to say things like, "When we go back, we need to ride _________" and "When we come back, I'd like to eat at _________", several times. I think that being *in* the AK parade on 7/11 really hit the nail on the head for her (me, too!).

cool that you have converted her! i hoping this trip will make my dh a "convert"!!!!!! and you got to be in the parade????? how great was that. I would just LOVE that! i'm sure it's a memory you will NEVER forget!

i was going to ask if you had a pic of all of you in the parade and here it is... very nice. i think it's very nice of them to take you pic too. how were you picked to be in the parade? right place at the right time???
