This was a lot of fun for our whole family! I am glad we took the time to look......

Copy cat! LOL...Just kidding....I posted my picture a few pages back! I love the idea of the kids painting the fence! Great shot!
I did not know you got to be in the parade too! Isn't that F-U-N?? One of the best memories of the whole trip was riding in the parade, making eye contact with some little kid, and watching his/her face light up.

I couldn't quit saying that to Greg the entire parade route. People actually waving and smiling at you like you were a celebrity or something. I am so much more aware now of the families in the parade. I always try to wave and smile at them because I know what it feels like!
If you know ANYTHING about me, you know I am completely addicted to Disney, so for me to actually get picked to ride in the parade--I think I could have died and went to Heaven right then and there!
How were you picked to be in the parade? Right place at the right time???
We were picked walking past the Mah. Jungle Trek; we were headed toward TFOTLK to see the last show of the day. A business-clad CM came toward us w/a paper in his hand, and at first, your instinct immediately tells you to say, "We're not interested!"

Then, you realize it CAN'T be a marketing/sales person because you are in THE WORLD!

So, when he said, "Excuse me. May I ask you a question?" We said, "Yes." Then, he asked us to be in the parade! I can't remember now what time of day it was...I posted it somewhere else on these boards last year exactly what happened....
He told us when to be back and where to go. ...and get these two final things: (1) When we got to TFOTLK, we had to tell the CM we were going to be in the parade because we had to leave before it was over in order to make it back to the parade in time...SO, they gave us special seating and then escorted us in and out of the show and to the parade! Awesome! (2) The CM that picked us said, "We are normally looking for families and for people that are smiling and getting along." ...the kicker? I think I had just snapped at Greg or we were arguing about something just seconds before! So, we in a moment of "marital quietness" when no one is talking, and the CM took it as everyone was getting along! WOO! HOO! Gotta love that!
