A sleeping giant . . . . .

where was this taken and are the characters real or statues?

Sorry - I've been away all day working in the yard. How dare I spend time away from the DIS!

This photo was taken at Disneyland last summer. Mickey climbs to the top of the Matterhorn every day, with Goofy and Minnie are there to cheer him on. They make a big deal out of it, but the kids just eat it up!

We saw it while waiting in line to get a photo with Ariel in her grotto, and my kids are still talking about when they saw Mickey climb the Matterhorn!

I'll post my answer again, only this time with the photo so you'll know what I'm referring to! :)

What you cannot see is the CM on the top of the mountain, most likely there to make sure Mickey makes it to the top okay. It must be hard to climb that mountain in that gear!

When I was a kid they would have regular mountain climbers climb the Matterhorn, but I never remembered Mickey doing it. This was definitely fun! They made a whole program out of it, broadcasting the characters talking to each other, etc.

I have been waiting and waiting to get to Disney so I could come back and post a few of these of my own - I have really enjoyed everyone else's!

I love this one with the castle in the background - it was a lucky shot as we were moving.
