i just love this pic. tell little yekcim-ette that she picked a beautiful one. i love that place. we saw mushu there and he played with my son forever. there was noone around. we had him all to ourself for almost 15 minutes. it was our disney moment that i'll never forget. thanks for the memory yekcim!

I am a total novice (just love taking photos of my kids and vacations), and I only have a Sony pocketable point and shoot. Looking at all the great shots on here (and yes, I know it takes more than a good camera, but that does make a difference, esp on night shots, I think), I'm starting to wish I had something a little better. I just can't see managing a larger camera (with all the other stuff I have to carry around for two toddlers), and getting enough time for taking pictures. Any advice from anyone out there, or am I better off waiting a bit until the kids are older and I am less of a pack mule on vacations? :rotfl: I can always enjoy everyone else's photos in the meantime! :goodvibes

Anyway... one of my favorites of my son on his 1st trip a year ago. I think he wanted to move in. :)

I make a living from photography and when we come to Disney I always bring my camera bag, alot of different lenses, two camera bodies, and a tripod. This way when I am at a slower pace I can walk around and take my time finding subjects to photograph. But in all honesty, most of the time I carry a waist pack that holds my canon powershot with a couple of extra cards and a battery; the point and shoot takes almost all of our memorable shots and they look great when put on a dvd as a slideshow with music. So don't burden yourself with what camera to use because the most memorable photos are shot from the hip so to speak. Remember that your there to enjoy the moment and not worry about getting the picture right.
As I tell my other photographers, "if you see it happen, it's already to late to photograph."

p.s. Love the picture of your son!
