All I can say is WOW!! I now know that I need to read the manual that came with my camera because the whole point and shoot on one setting is just not working for me.

If that is your auto feature, I have the wrong camera. What kind of camera do you use? Mine is a Fuji Finepix 2800 zoom. The zoom and daytime pix are great but the no flash and night pix are very lacking. I will be looking for a new camera in a few months.

That was before I've even learned more about the camera. I wasn't expecting the auto feature to take good fireworks photos, I started with it and figured I'd move to manual (during the fireworks in February) but didn't need to. I plan to do more later this year, and bring my tripod and experiment as well. This is my most favorite camera ever!

The S3 is now the one you'd be looking at, or the S5 (that is just coming out). That is, if you decided to buy in that series.

Now I'm just working on my leaning issues. (getting much better, though!)

I looked at the S3 and S5 online and the S3 is more in my price range. I think this will be my next camera. Thanks for all the great pix and the info on the camera. Keep em coming!!
