That is a great picture!!:goodvibes

...didja notice in this shot, there is 'kinda' a "Hidden Mickey" (if you look directly above the top of the Christmas tree in the sky - the clouds 'outline' Mickey's head...;) , or am I REA-A-L-L-L-L-LY stretching it a bit??!?!?!?)

I see it!!!:rotfl2:

Gdad...OMG AGAIN!!!

Wow. Super nice shot...I can't wait to get a DSLR:thumbsup2

OK, another one. I was looking at the fireworks shots (which didn't turn out) and found this one -- don't even remember taking it!

Very nice, love the lighting & color, great job. Thanks for sharing.

This guy is from the petting area at Rafiki's Planet Watch. I was told that he sleeps like this all the time. It's amazing that he doesn't fall off!!

Thanks Philagoofy. Like I said, this was an unexpected shot. The only thing I did was sharpen it a bit. I got a Canon PowerShot SD700IS two days before my trip, to replace a 5-year old Powershot S45. Some of the settings are a bit goofy, and it wasn't as similar to the S45 as I'd expected, so I've still got some learning to do to get the shots I think I'm getting. For one thing, I think the SD700's autofocus is actually slower than the S45, so I've got to learn a different (and more limited) set of manual settings than I'm accustomed to. Lesson learned: never take a brand-new camera as your only camera on a trip!

Yes I took a close-up shot of the roof of the Haunted Mansion. Yes I'm a dork.

Does anyone know what the little "people" looking iron figures are that line the roof? I know that everything Imagineering does is for a reason, just wondering if anyone knew the meaning behind these?

Not for sure....but MAYBE it's the 999 people that make up the Happy Haunts?

Let's ask Lou Mongello....he would know!

:cool1:

Yeah, he probably would know... At first I thought maybe it was just an ornamental iron pattern that they liked, but I remember hearing on more than one occasion that there are "chess pieces" somewhere on the roof or roof line, and I've never been able to find those... I can't imagine those are the chess pieces :confused3

According to hiddenmickeys.org:

Along the roof peak and the trim of the collonade, there are wroght iron "people" in a pattern of Tall, Short, Tall, Short. There are 999 of these, one to represent each of the ghosts (learned this in training).

Aw your lil girl is very adorable. She is an angel alright!:)

I understand what you're saying. After a very early ultrasound we were told that the heartbeat was too slow and to prepare for the worst. Research I did said a 9% chance of survival. Here's our little Alexandra (1st Disney trip coming Sept/Oct07!!) a couple of days ago (not a Disney one - hope you'll forgive me this once :))...

My doctor still tells me that he now tells patients about our little miracle when they are in a similar situation. I understand not wanting to give false hope, though. He's a great Dr. and has changed what he says based on new reasons to hope. :)
