Disney PI-Alumni Only!

Hi everyone,

I've decided to apply for the Disney Professional Internship-Alumni Only program and know the process is a little different from the regular PIs. It just asks for a resume and optional general cover letter, then they consider you for all the positions.

Does anyone know how to address the cover letter because it's so broad? Or has anyone been through this process? Any tips, advice, insight, or general discussion would be great!

Hey, I just applied for the Alumi only last week, and I got an email yesterday saying I was a strong candidate and they would like a phone interview. I have one scheduled for This Friday at 10:30!

Just put in the cover letter about my strengths and mentioned specific ones that I applied for.

When you fill out the online application it will give you a big check list of ones that you want to apply for and the cover letter I just addressed it to whom it may concern alumni PI positions... And listed my strengths based on what I applied for.

I will let you know what they ask in the interview! 10:30 am central time !

Just got done! It went so well! Easy questions....Name a time where you had a conflict with a co worker or boss...what are your top 3 choices...experience planning events.....can you talk in front of people....do you like the Disney look...and questions about the college program experience. I feel like did really good, she was so sweet. and we laughed a lot.

Yay that's great! I just got the request for a phone screen so hopefully it goes as well as yours did!

Make sure to get the persons name and send an thank you email to the college recruiting email. which ones did you apply for?

I only applied for Alumni PIs and that was kind of a spur of the moment decision! I don't qualify for a lot of the regular internships because I did 2 consecutive CP programs so I just stuck with the Alumni ones. Plus, I feel like I'm a little older than a lot of the people applying and I just can't justify another DCP right now! I figure it'll all work out if its supposed to!

How old are you? No way you are. I did my college program fall of 09 so I don't know if that will hurt me. I really want to get down there again. And I cannot do the DCP, so Professional internship is the only hope for me!

I did my CP in the fall of 09 too, and then extended til the spring. Small world lol! I'm 27 and engaged. I would turn 28 during the program. Met my fiance when we were both working at Disney, but he isn't the Disney fanatic I am! And I don't think he's fully supportive of the going back to Disney to work for minimum wage again so it's PI or nothing for me too.
