Disney Photog Questions

Hello All,
Im sorry if this has been asked before. We are interested in disney photography for our wedding, but honestly their packages are ridiculous. My big question is do they customize? We just want pictures taken and then a CD/DVD with the photos. No prints. Is this something disney will do? I suppose I could email our planner...

The packages available depend on what kind of wedding you're having. They've been letting Escape couples give up all prints and albums to get the disc of images for $395 for a few years now. Recently, a Wishes bride reported that she was able to give up all prints and albums to get the disc for $650—normally it costs $1,000 or (if you only use Disney for the in-park bridal portrait sessions and have an outside photographer for the wedding) $750.

If your event will not be held inside a park, you may get more bang for your buck by going with an independent local photographer. They usually include the disc of images for free or a nominal charge, and at the very least you'll get more products for the same price Disney charges.

Do you know if you get all the pictures on the disk or just the ones that they like? And do you get the picture from the mk or other park shoots?

You get all the pictures, not just the ones they like. And it includes the photos from every shoot you do through Disney.

I was an escape bride who gave up the albums, posting to a website and prints to get the disk at a reduced price.

Regina DID edit pictures, but not all of them. Some were edited for color correction and some were not. In all of the castle pictures the crane was edited out, but some had the "show times" sign still in them. She chose her favorites, and edited them and changed some to black & white. The rest were as-is.

Also, there were pictures I know we took but didn't show up on the disk, such as ones we took at the fountain in the Morrocco pavillion. We love the pictures we have, and have pretty much assumed those just came out horrible enough so that she didn't include them on the disk.

After reading about Lori's luck with the Italy pavillion pictures she so badly wanted, I have considered contacting DPS and asking to see those pictures too just incase, but have been too busy to do so!

This is too funny! The same thing happened to us! Our Epcot pictures were just posted on the website but I know there are ones missing. I too assumed that they just came out bad or not up to Regina's standards. Maybe I should email DPS to just see what they say. All the ones I have seen so far turned out great so I am not too worried.
