We are headed down (3 of us) for 5 days for Mickeys Halloween Party. Is it worth it to buy the advance photo pass? My son will be going to the Pirates League to have his face painted...we are going the party so I'm sure there will be plenty of photo ops there too.....I just need some advice to justify to my frugal Husband!

I think it definitely is worth it. I purchased Memory Maker for the first time on our last trip (June) and loved it! We don't stop for a lot of photos, but between those and our ride photos I had over 200 pictures. If I purchased them individually they were $14.95/ea, whereas I paid $169 in advance for all 200+ (plus $0.14/c to print them at a photo kiosk).

I'm still on the fence about whether it was worth it for us. SO many of our pics really aren't great. So there were hundreds, but maybe 15 that I really like. So assuming I would have bought those 15 pics, I guess I got a good deal. At the same time, it could be a stretch-if it came down to spending the money, I probably could have lived with only a few of the PP photos.

It was totally worth it for us. We got a few hundred pics. You get all your ride photos and your PL photos will be in there too! Magic shots w our kiddos- my daughter loved the Tinkerbell in our hands shot! There are a few that offer ride videos too. Plus you can add borders and things on the website once you get home to keep the fun going! I absolutely recommend it. If you take the time to stop and take the pics and have fun w it and pose the way the photos tell you, you get some really fantastic shots. I LOVE Photopass. It's my main splurge.

I love memory maker and with the new videos you get and ride photos I think it is well worth while for a 5 day trip. Be sure to ask the photo pass photographers for the magic shots. There are a bunch and some of them are location specific. Like KMB said make sure to buy 3 days before you arrive for the $30 discount.

We have done the memory maker (Photopass) thing for the last 6 years we're stay for 14 days and visit a Disney park / location most of those days (we're from the UK). We feel we get really good value from it, around 300 photo's and video's (Tower of Terror last year sent video's.) The night shots are always more difficult as you are asked to stand very still and children find that hard to do. That said, your own shots won't be much better :-)

If you are going just for the party at night then maybe not, it depends if it's once in a lifetime thing then what's $150 for the memories?

After my last trip experience I will definitely be purchasing memory maker next time. Our trip was a water park only trip so I never gave much thought to look into memory maker. The photographer took such cute pics of my 3 yr old on the slides that I just bought 3 for $14.95 a piece. Which is crazy in my opinion, but after I saw them I couldn't let them go. I would have felt much better if I would have went ahead and paid $150 and got all 38 pictures for Blizzard Beach than paying $52 for 3 like I just did.

With Pirates league last week the PL photographer was taking the very little kids outside to the stage and lots of photos. Maybe because it was slow but those families probably got 40-50 shots just from PL. With all the Party stuff I think its worth it. We got back with over 300 photos for a week and we weren't searching out for every photographer. My kids first ride on Rock n Roller coaster photo was worth the whole thing!

My husband and I get it for every trip to WDW. We will only be there 3 1/2 days this fall, but got it anyway...it's the only time we get good photos of us together - we'd have a boring xmas card without our MemoryMaker photos. :)
