disney personal computer question

I apologize if this isn't in the correct column.....but

thinking of purchasing my 7 year old son the disney computer that recently came out at the disney store.....anybody out there know if this is a decent computer or is the price really jacked up due to it being disney? Any input would be appreciated.

funny you should mention that- I asked dh the same thing and he said for that kind of money we could get a really nice one. I was thinking of getting it for my 4 y/o but the price is pretty high.

The price is really jacked up. Decent computer yes, worth what they are charging, NO.

Shoot - I wanted to buy it for myself and I turn 58 in two days.
It's not that decked out of a computer (except for the cute decorations) for that kind of money.

Maybe I'll make a cardboard "Mickey Face" and put it on the front of my computer!

Yes that price for the Disney branded PC is Way too high and the printer is cheap as well so it's not like they are giving you a deal. I just bought an eMac for my 4 yr old.

Get a better computer for less money, and add the Mickey feeling. Download a Disney theme, put Mickey stickers around the monitor, add a couple of disney items such as pencil holders, lamp etc., and add a Disney mousepad. The Disney Computers are not worth the money.

for the kind of money they're asking for that desktop, you're better off custom building one. You'll get better everything. The printer you can get for 20 bucks.

If you buy the Disney PC, you'll be spending the money for the name, the color, and the cuteness. I say spend your money for a better computer.
