Disney Patch Collection? Patches with info?

Just saw something called the Disney Patch Collection on ebay. I have never seen anything like this before, has anyone else? It seems like it would be worth a lot since I haven't seen anything like this in my 10+ years of collecting? But not sure. Anyone seen these things before?

It looks like there is a book too for them. I usually collect snowglobes, but they looked kind of fun!

Seems seriously expensive - > $10 a patch/card.....

They do look interesting and you are right - I have never seen anything like them before.

For many years I collected patches from Disneyland and WDW, mostly emplyee cast costume patches since that was almost all there was. I've never seen this patch collection or heard anything about it. I suspect it is relatively recent, and probably offered as a monthly subscription kind of a mail order collectible house. I doubt that it would have been sold in the parks with those collector cards, plus, I would have seen it before.

I was very surprised to see all the character patches on eBay. Used to be there might be 3 or 4 listings for Disney patches and that was it!
