I saw that there is a Disney Passholder Sale at the World of Disney store...June 6 at 6:30 a.m.....

What's this all about?

Anyone have more information or experience with one of these events?

I am arriving on the evening of June 6th. Is it worth my effort to go over to Downtown Disney when I arrive or will everything be gone and just be a mad house? Is the sale for anyone or just passholders? (I am a passholder) Are the sales good or is this more of a marketing event?

I think the sale is for AP holders and DVC members...IIRC. And yes, if it's anything like the last one, it will be a mad house! (I read there were some pretty good deals, though. But I also read reports of waiting an hour in line to check out...it would have to be an awesome deal for me to wait that long!)

The sale is 6:30am to 9:30am.

Enjoy June 6 Member sale at World of Disney® store in Florida

It's been said that early birds get the worms. But since the World of Disney store doesn't sell worms, specially discounted merchandise will have to do.

Back by popular demand, a Disney Vacation Club Member sale will take place at the sprawling World of Disney store in Downtown Disney® Marketplace at the Walt Disney World® Resort on June 6 from 6:30-9:30 a.m.

"Last year, we didn't know what to expect, but our Disney Vacation Club Members responded so well that we thought we had to offer this again," said World of Disney Merchandise Manager Dara Trujillo. "This year, we said, 'Let's add some new surprises.'"

One change involves the treatment of "door busters." Last year, Cast Members announced these special sale items at certain times throughout the event. This year, all door busters will be on display (marked with yellow balloons) in each room when the sale begins and will be available while supplies last. Examples range from select $3 mugs and $2 Mickey Mouse ear hats to select kids' apparel items prices at $9 or under and select seasonal merchandise for $5 or under.

Beyond the door busters, Members will find half-off items marked with blue balloons, "super secret surprise merchandise" offerings at the registers and a free gift to the first 1,000 shoppers.

So mark your calendars and take advantage of the savings at this special event. (If you don't have a calendar, they just happen to sell them at the World of Disney store.)

LOL, just skimming over the times I thought it was 6:30 am - 9:30 pm. But I was wrong. Thanks for pointing that out so I didn't make a trip over for nothing.
