Disney Parks Ticket Pricing Update

Park Hopper add-on increases by $2 per day, as does the water park option. Park hopper and water park option increase by $5 per day

The Park Hopper and WPF&M add-on increases are not per day increases. Those are length-of-ticket increases.

So starting tomorrow they will release room rates with packages??

It's possible, however, historically package info (including room rates and dining plan "pricing"*) have come out in early August or so. I wouldn't expect 2014 packages to open up just yet.

*Note: They do not really release dining plan pricing. The pricing is figured out by people frequenting the restaurant forums on these boards (and others) by pricing up different scenarios.

Does anyone know the 2014 prices for the campground yet?:confused3
Once room and package rates are released, they'll be available.

Thank you! This is all very confusing :/. I have never tried to book a trip in January and this is our second time going.

Pretty disappointed in the price increase for the Premier pass. My brother and I are DLR AP holders and our passes expired last month. We're taking our first WDW trip next week so we decided to get Premium passes at WDW, which we already purchased exchange certificates for, and upgrade them to Premier passes when we get there. We live in UT so we felt like it wouldn't have made much of a difference where we purchased our base AP, but now I feel like we should have just bought regular park hoppers at WDW and repurchase DLR AP on our next visit in Oct. 8 days counting to our arrival and now we have to find $260 worth of pass upgrades for each of us in our budget if we want to save money in the long run as DLR is our home resort.

Edit: Unless you can upgrade a WDW pass to a premier at DLR? I vaguely remember having a chat with a CM over the phone about this and he claimed that you had to upgrade to a premier where you got our base AP. That was a while ago so it'd be great if someone could share any recent experiences with this.

We are also slightly stunned at the new premier pass price. After tax it is over 1K, will be very hard to justify that purchase. We may end up getting dvc ap for wow and squeeze in two trips next year, and just skip dl altogether or maybe get the select pass. To the post above, I'm not sure about the upgrade procedure, we've never tried upgrading any passes before.

I know it was supposed to start yesterday according to the blog, but the Disney site shows $95 for MK 1 day ticket and $90 for Epcot, DHS, DAK.

Was there a grace period or the website hasn't been updated yet?

Those ARE the new prices, just pre-tax.

Ok how is that going to effect packages for resort guests? I never knew what day or how many days of my vacation would be spent at the Magic Kingdom. Are you supposed to know these things ahead of time, OR will Disney Resort guests pay one price if you book complete package at Disney? compared to adding tickets from UT or another ticket broker?

Only the 1 day ticket is affected by the MK upcharge. Multiday tickets are not affected by it.

If you book a package with a 1 day non-MK ticket, and you wish to go to MK, you'll likely be directed to upgrade it before entering the turnstiles (that's my guess anyway). If you book a package with a 1 day MK ticket and go to Epcot, it'll likely just let you in and they'll have received a free $5 + tax.

Thanks I just blew right past that.

So, basically for an 8 day pass, the biggest increase is in park hopper? The 1 day increase doesn't seem to affect the base pass much but I don't remember the old price exactly.

Edit: sorry, just read Cafeen's post about not affecting multi-day tickets.
