Hi all! We just got the Wii a few weeks ago and we downloaded Netflix on it. Last night DH was searching to see what kinds of Disney related movies were on there to watch instantly and low and behold there were a handful of Disney Parks Behind the Scenes! They have one for all DLR, WDW, AK and the DCL. They are current for 2010!

I had to post this on the disboards and share with fellow DISNEY addicts! Enjoypopcorn::

Those are the shows that originated on Travel Channel. Their original versions are several years old, but some of them have been updated to include new scenes/footage, which means some of the old stuff (which was too outdated, probably) has been replaced with the new scenes, while some of the other old stuff has stayed in. That's where the current dates come from - just like with revised editions of books, these shows have been revised.

I just wanted to clarify that so that no one thought the shows were entirely 100% new.:goodvibes

But they're all great shows - I still have some of the older, non-updated versions on my DVR. I like to watch them to get me in the Disney spirit!!

Thanks for the clarification. I too like to watch these kinds of shows to get me in the mood for upcoming DLR vacations, although I'm always in the mood for DISNEYLAND with or without the shows:rotfl:

Thanks for the tip! I love the on demand feature with Netflix and the Wii. We got rid of our cable and have saved so much money with just Netflix.

We have been seriously concidering doing away with cable because of Netflix! It would be another great way to cut back on expenses. We don't really watch too much tv so we will see.....

Add me to the wii/netflix-no cable crowd. Love it! We had bought a blu ray player that was netflix compatible, but returned it when netflix made it wii-ready. I'm putting those disney parks movies in our queue for sure.

We did the same thing, we still have the high speed internet thru them and the very very basic (like 14 channels lol) cable with them but that's it, no more big cable bill. :) It's nice!!!

Do it!! It's so worth it. :) And thanks for the post on the shows, we love watching shows like this. :)

We ended our tv subscription too. Where we live you can't pick up even the local stations without a dish or cable so we have no tv at all. We have Netflix and just watch that. Two discs at a time and instant watch on the Wii.

I already have those Disney park discs though.

That was a nice video "Disney Parks: Behind the Scenes" when you can watch it on Netflix. I have the video on Blu-Ray.

I just watched this the other night and posted about it in my trip report! The Disneyland one is actually updated, and talks a lot about the changes being made to DCA and all the new ideas. I thought it was cute, and definitely something to get you jazzed up for Disneyland.

Awesome! Thanks! I had these in my queue for the mailed DVDs but didn't realize they moved over to Instant! yay! Now I don't have to wait for them to come!

I got excited when I saw this thread and went to try, I guess you can't get them on Canadian netflix, so disappointing.

Just added these to my queue!

Sorry for going a little off topic, but we also cut the cord to cable TV and have not regretted it, hopefully more people do the same, cable TV bill was getting ridiculous. I think Netflix streaming is one of the greatest values out there. We purchased a DVR that works with over the air signal, and are fortunate enough to get great local channel reception through a tiny indoor antenna, but HULU + is another way you can get current shows for those without reception.
