Disney Parking Questions

Forgive my ignorance here, but I normally take Disney buses around while I am at WDW. However, this year we will be going with our newest family member and I would feel safer if she were in her car seat -- plus I think it would be easier for us to get the stroller around etc.

That being said I have some questions.
1) When you pay for parking how does Disney handle it if you go back to your room and then come back to the park? You don't have to pay again do you?

2)When you pay for parking at MK and you want to "hop" to Epcot, you don't have to pay for parking at Epcot too, do you?

3)And finally, for those of you with AAA. How much closer is the diamond parking? (AAA preferred parking) Is it worth possibly paying a couple dollars more at AAA for park tickets to get the parking pass or should we just get the cheapest tickets we can find and forget about the parking pass?

Thanks!

If you are an onsite guest you don't pay for parking. If you have an annual pass you don't pay for parking.
Now, to answer your questions.
1. You pay once a day, keep your ticket and show it when you enter the parking lot again.
2. See answer to #1.
3. Some AAA will give those permits with ticket purchase, some won't and will only give them for a package booked through them.
In truth, the tickets are not all that much more expensive than purchasing them via Disney on a prepurchase discount, and, sometimes they are less. Call you AAA office and ask for the prices and see if they will give you the AAA permit.

Gail, Thanks for the answers! I called my AAA office here and found that they givethe diamond passes if you buy any tickets. You do not need to buy a full package. I am wondering how much closer the diamond parking is from general parking though.

Thanks again!

That totally depends on the park. MK, not much closer as you do need to take a boat or monorail to get there.
Epcot, you may end up taking the tram.
MGM, pretty darn close.
AK, pretty darn close.

I am sure you realize that sometimes the Diamond lots fill up and you will not be able to use them.

I found that parking in general parking is just as easy, since the trams run very quick and frequently.

Sorry this is slightly off the original question, but is it true that if you have an annual pass you don't have to pay for parking? I am a new AP holder and will be staying off site for the first time, I hope this is true!!

Yes, AP holders get free theme park parking.
