What are the best Disney Park Cds that have music from the parks and rides, both new and old?
Also, what cds are best for Disney music?

The current WDW CD is Four Parks/One World which has a lot of classics on it. Older official albums have the old Epcot music (most of the Future World pavilions had songs composed for them/associated with them). There are also specific albums for Wishes, some of the holiday arrangements, and some of the parade/party music. 2 DCA albums were released recently--Music from Cars Land and The Circle Sessions (jazzy covers of classic Disney tunes that play in the Carthay Circle restaurant). Disney is releasing more of these collections digitally (on itunes or amazon), but many times you have to call the parks and order a CD (or go on ebay or find some other music re-seller).

Perhaps the quintessential theme park music collection is the 6-disc Musical History of Disneyland, but as it is out of print, I think it's quite expensive to buy, even second-hand.

There are also a lot of sites that stream park music, if you don't care about owning the music. I've used d-cot and Walt's Music (which streams old vinyl releases), but there are others.

I don't know if it's what's currently available in the parks, but Four Parks, One World has a good selection of music from the four parks. There's also soundtracks for Fantasmic, SpectroMagic, Wishes (this one just recently became available on iTunes), Holiday Wishes, The Festival of the Lion King, and Finding Nemo: The Musical.

which of these park cds are worth the money to buy from amazon and ebay? I was hoping to find a cd with the full ride music, such as space ship earth?

Also, is there a classic greatest hits from disney you would recommend?

I recently got to check this one out thanks to the interlibrary loan system, and it's awesome. I wish I had known about it (and obviously, bought it) when I went to DL for the 50th anniversary (which is when it was released.) The best price on Amazon right now is $200 for one that the seller says is like new.

LOVE Four Parks, One World!! It is on constant rotation in my car. :lovestruc

I also love my Tapestries of Nations/IllumiNations CD. :goodvibes

Four Parks, One World is a favorite in our house/cars as well. The kids love it, and they know the order of the songs by heart! These albums allow us to have WDW with us in between visits (which are not as frequent as we'd like.) And yes, there are full ride soundtracks on these CDs.

The only caveat is that I don't think you'll find it easily outside of the parks. However, if you know anyone that is rolling through MCO, they have the CD's and DVDs from the parks at the stores there.

Full ride music from Disney is hit or miss. They tend to release a short version of the the theme song (exceptions include the special Haunted Mansion and Pirates CDs, each of which is centered around the attraction). On four parks, one world there's a Spaceship Earth track that may actually cover most of the ride, but it doesn't have any of the narration. You can definitely hear the pick up in the music when the Industrial Revolution hits, for example. Now that I think about it, the Soarin' track is also complete.

I'd start with Four Parks, One World for WDW fans because it has the greatest variety (it's a 2-disc set), or The Happiest Celebration CD for those more interested in Disneyland.

If you really get into theme park music, Tokyo Disneyland seems to be the best about releasing their music, but it's also really hard to get in the US.

As far as classic hits, I'd start with the Classic Disney (vols 1-5) series and the Disney's Greatest (1-3) series. Look at the track listings for individual albums to see which ones appeal most to you. Or you could buy the tracks you wanted individually on iTunes and then burn a CD that was just the songs you wanted.

Edited to add:
iTunes has some parks music, but not as full a listing as I would like (they don't have four parks, one world, for example). They have a greater selection of Disney movie music.

You can also get four parks one world by calling WDW merchandise in the parks and have them ship it to you. I'm not sure how expensive that would be compared to amazon/ebay.

Actually, you can purchase the CDs mentioned directly from Disney (assuming they're still currenly available) through Merchandise Mail Order. You can contact them by phone at 877-560-6477 (toll Free) or by e-mail at Merchandise.Guest.Services@DisneyParks.com. I'm sure you'd pay less that way than through Amazon or Ebay.

The only place I've ever found the entire ride soundtrack for any ride or attraction is on the Musical History of Disneyland, but the tracks on Four Parks, One World for attractions like Splash Mountain, Pirates and Haunted Mansion do include some of the vocals for those rides, which I really like.

There is a 5 CD collection (meaning 5 that are sold separately) called Classic Disney: 60 Years of Musical Magic that's available for purchase or download on Amazon. Here's the link for the first volume:

http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Disney-Vol-Years-Musical/dp/B000001M26/ref=sr_1_2?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1365954429&sr=1-2&keywords=60+years+of+musical+magic

And here's a couple of cool ones that I recently discovered (they're also available on iTunes):

http://www.amazon.com/The-Haunted-Mansion/dp/B00AIGOLD8/ref=sr_1_5?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1365955017&sr=1-5&keywords=haunted+mansion+soundtrack

Actually, this one I could've sworn was available as a download on Amazon, but it definitely is on iTunes; just use this link to see what the album looks like then go to iTunes to find it to download:

http://www.amazon.com/Pirates-Caribbean-Disney/dp/B000UFUXC0/ref=sr_1_11?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1365955292&sr=1-11&keywords=pirates+of+the+caribbean+soundtrack

There's also a California Adventure CD available on iTunes, but since it's from 2001, I don't know if all the tracks on it are still current. (I know the parade one isn't.)

We picked up "The Official Soundtrack of Disneyland/Walt Disney World" at the parks back in 2000. It's a nice sampling of ride music, music in Magic Kingdom Lands, Fantasmic, Illuminations, and more. There may be more complete collections, but it's a nice assortment, and we like it.

The best Disney CD's I own contain the actual ride audio for nearly every ride in all 4 parks! Wanna ride Dinosaur? By all means, but make sure you listen to the preshow first!

I got four parks and wishes. I am thinking of ordering disney classics 5 CDs that was linked. If I buy it from amazon can it transfer to itunes.
I wish itunes amazon had some of those park CDs listed above.
