Only over a year later than our friends in the USA, Disney Pandora charms are now available in Australia! I went to the launch at my local store tonight and came away with lots of goodies (most of which my Mum & I are giving each other for Christmas), some cute cookie pops and a hefty credit card bill! image.jpg

They still don't have the full range available in the States - no earrings or rings for starters. There are seriously gorgeous limited edition sparkly Mickey and Minnie heads in the collection - lucky for me a Mickey will be under the Christmas tree with my name on it!

They also had a set of the 60th anniversary ears in the display...alas they were not for sale!

A friend was telling me about this on Monday. She said they expected to sell out very quickly and to guarantee purchase you should attend the VIP night, which was last night in Brisbane City.

Was it expensive?
A little bit pricier than regular charms (due to the licencing I presume), but not outrageously so. Most have things like enamel or cubic zirconia which also pushes the prices up a bit from plain silver charms. Prices range from $45 to $119. You can see all the charms and prices here: http://www.pandora.net/en-au/explore/collections/disneycollection

The VIP nights were all last night. Our store still seemed to have stock of everything but I think it would be wise to get in quick!

I might have to add the heart inscribed 'A dream...' onto the wish list except DH annoyingly shops for Xmas gifts like 2 days prior to Xmas and then half the things on my "list" aren't available - there is always DD though who is better at this sort of thing!

My mum got that one! It's gorgeous! I got the one with Mickey and Minnie kissing and on the back it says 'Believe in Magic' and it's also very cute!

I am not sure I noticed that one properly - have to have a second look - sounds very sweet too. DD's comment when I sent her an email was blow you, I had already seen these and thought I might sneak a surprise pressie in for you for Xmas since you hadn't mentioned you knew about them! - I am now very hopeful of a surprise under the Xmas tree! I dont mind which!

Here's hoping that you get that surprise!

Dang! I should have shown you my collection when you were here. Completely slipped my mind.

They're cheaper than buying in the parks at the moment. For example if you want the Cinderella coach it's 99AUD and 95USD at disneystore.com
The coach isn't my thing but it's the reference I can think of off hand...

I've asked the fiance to pick from disneystore (a couple of the unique ones) or the kissing mickey Minnie...or the dangle mickey and Minnie.

Plus we will likely pick some up next year but it makes our Christmas "light" a bit easier as he can just pick one or two charms

I have asked Santa to bring me a charm or two. Im kicking myself I didn't buy any at WDW in Sept.

Even worse, we went to Pandora stores in both New York and Santa Monica (to buy charms for those places) and the staff were keen to show us the Disney range but we turned them down, saying we'd buy them at Disneyland instead. When we got to Disneyland though, no charms were available at all!

I got told today the Frozen and Princess Jasmine and something else are coming in around January sometime to the Australian stores...
So we'll be getting some more choices...not the nice park ones or fantasia...but it's nice to know that we are getting more as a market
