I am sure this question has been asked before but i could not find the thread. I have a contract at bwv and would like to add on, not many maybe 50 points. During a Feb. trip the DW and I toured the Wilderness Villas and really liked them. Then I read a thread of kids becoming bored with disney world. i have 2 year old who is going for the 3rd time in Oct. and a 10 month old. In the opinion of this boards' members would an add on at vero be better and go there every three years as a diversion. Does Disney offer transportation to the park. is it possible to make a one night reservation on property and the balance at VERO. I can't imagine going to Fla. and not the World.
Any and all thought greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is possible to make a one night ressie at WDW, and the balance at Vero, using your 11 month window of each place. I think adding on at a beach location such as Vero or HH is a good idea; I am considering it myself at HH. We have done WDW exclusively since '94, and my 15 and 20 year old sons are tiring a little. We are at the point now where we take several friends along, which helps me as well as my boys. I am thinking about a beach location for every other year - primarily for ME and my mom who doesn't care for WDW - more a grownup location, I guess. Disney is currently still offering $10 per point Magical Beginnings at Vero and HHI. HTH

Vero Beach is LOVELY! You and your kids will love it there. The best part of that resort is that it is a relaxing, calm, beautiful place to stay and unwind. We were never bored there, and when we stayed for only 4 days my husband made it clear that next time we stay there it will be for longer. (At the time he hated everything Disney, and Vero Beach Resort changed his mind. :) ) We made our reservations at WDW and Vero Beach all at once, there was no hassle, it was based on availability. Staying only one night would not be my personal choice, because it is not like a hotel. Great place to stay for a few days. You will have to arrange your own transportation to and from WDW, a rental car is best.

When ever I have gone to Florida we are always done Disney and the beach in the same trip.

I love Disney but to me I have to see the ocean if I am in Florida. So since we have joined DVC we always go to Disney World and Vero Beach in the same trip.

We are thinking of adding on to our contract and Vero is what will work for us.

We love to go to VB after time at WDW (OKW). It gives us a chance to relax prior to returning home.

Before DVC we often did Cocoa Beach and WDW on a Florida vacation. It's a great combination. For the end of May we have 3 days Vero and 5 days BWV booked. We booked at the 11 month window for BW and the 7 month for Vero. Had no problem with either reservation.Really looking forward to it!

less than 2 hours to get from WDW to VB.
We love VB and added on there on our first visit.

We own at OKW and did an add on at Vero and then did another add on at Vero. We are finding that we are enjoying our time at Vero more than our time at WDW. We started our Vero vacations as an add on to our WDW trips, and now our WDW trips are an add on to our Vero trips. We are heading down in the fall and will stay at WDW for 2 nights and then we are staying at Vero for 6 nights, and even 6 nights is not long enough! When we do Vero at the beginning of our vacation, I am always sad to leave Vero even though I am heading to WDW. So I guess I am saying that, yes, an add on at Vero is a great idea, if you think you will enjoy regular vacations there. My prediction is that you will end up adding more than 50 points, though.

Another thing to consider is that eventually it will be VERY difficult to get into Vero at the 7 month window. The resort is very small and soon you will have 5 WDW DVC resorts trying to get in. The 11 month priority will come in very handy.
