My poor baby is having withdrawls :rotfl: He just walks around the house clutching his 'guys' (disney stuffed animals) and asking to go to 'mickey's house'. It really is breaking my heart!

The 3 Jungle Adventures Disney on Ice show will be about 1.5 hours from our house in December. The only Jungle movie he has seen is Lion King. He will be 26 months old at the time.

Have any of you been to the Disney on Ice shows? Is this something a child this young can enjoy? We would be purchasing the cheap seats, as we are now officially broke from this trip. What do you all think?

we took dd4 to disney on ice "the incredibles" last weekend and she loved it. To be honest I didn't see that many babies there besides the ones that had older brothers/sisters that were preschoolers.

We took our oldest to DOI when she was 2 yrs. & then 3yrs. She loved it both times but I think even more so when she was 2 (as it was Snow White). We sat in the cheap seats for one show & down low for another. I actually preferred being up high because of the overall view. One thing I do remember was that the music was very loud, but that didn't bother our DD.

Thanks for the input.

DS isnt really scared of loud noises, as long as they are familiar. He loved the Lion King at AK which was pretty loud. So I dont think that should be a problem.

If anyone else has any comments, I would appreciate them!

We too DD, and DH then 5 to the Princesses on Ice. It was very well done. The costuming and music were great and the skaters did a great job. Definitely Disney in quality.

We took DD5 to her first show for her 3rd birthday and she did fine. Last year we took DS then about 18 months with us to Nemo on Ice. He did very well until the intermission. After the show stopped for a little while he did not want to have no part of staying on laps and we had a little meltdown. But I would still take him again at that age in a heartbeat. He was not familar with the Disney Characters yet but his face lit up when they came out. It was well worth missing the end of the show.

I say go for it!

DS (now 3) loved DOI last year when his daycare went (the school is walking distance from the areana, and parents went, too). It was the show that had the Dalmations, Lilo & Stitch, Little Mermaid and some other stuff. He was just about 2.5 at the time. There was only one part that freaked him out a little bit. But he loved it otherwise (and so did the other little ones in his class)...and he still talks about it! Just about everyday driving past the arena, and any hockey game we go to, he talks about how he got to see Mickey ice skate there. Pretty funny.

We are going to surprise him with tickets to The Incredibles DOI at the end of the month. Already have the tickets, he just doesn't know it yet. I can't wait!

Thanks everyone and scouthawk!

I am please to hear that a daycare was brave enough to take a lot of two year olds! That pretty much eliminates any worries I have, as ds is an easygoing kid, and some kids from his daycare were NOT :rotfl:

Thanks again everyone!

We actually had ages between 1 and 5 with our daycare group. The entire school, with the exception of the infants went. (Also did the circus a month later.) Fortunately they have "school" preformances at the arena. Only $10 at ticket...and really good seats, too! (Now, if only the Wiggles had a cheap show like that. Wouldn't have had to pay a fortune!!).

Also, for future reference...if you sign up through Disney (https://register.go.com/disney/disneyonice/preferencecenter/lists) you can get advance notice on DOI shows with a presale code to get tickets prior to the general public. Gotta love that!

We took ours to their first shows when they were really little(not quite 5 and not quite 1). It was a Sesame Street Live and they LOVED it. We did the Princess on Ice show two Christmases ago (11 & 7 boy they grow to fast!!) and again loved it but it's just wasn't same excitement as when they were little....take him now....and check Entertainment Books ours has a byogo and we had AWESOME seats for half the price.

We are thinking of taking our will-be 20 month old in February. She is used to being around ice skating (as you can see by my user name!) and loooooves Mickey, and other random Disney characters. I don't think that age is too young, there is a lot to look at. I'd think closer seats would hold their attention better. Two years ago my DH and I splurged and got front row. I'd love to get that with DD, but I'm afraid she'd take off and run onto the ice!

I'd say go for it!

We are taking our DD tommorrow for her first ice show! It is the Disney Princesses. This is part of her birthday present (3 yrs old) so we splurged and got front row seats. We are so excited. It is a suprise for her. I will post some pictures and let you know how it was when we get back!
