Disney on Ice for 2y/o Boy?

Wondering if it would be worth dropping $120 to take my DS to Disney on Ice? What age do kids start liking that kind of stuff? Do kids usually sit through it? Just had DD 3 weeks ago and I want to do something with DS, just don't know if this is the thing to do. My mom would be going with us, that's the reason the price is do high. What do all of you think?

We took DD last year when she was 25 months old. She absolutely loved it! And yes, she sat still.....but then again, she is one that sits still well.

My DD first went to Disney on Ice at 19 months and she absolutely loved it. We have also been when she was 2 and 3 years old and she gets so excited every time we go. She loves shows so her first show was Sesame Street Live at 14 months. I will never forget her mouth dropping open when the characters came out on stage and she saw that they were real. She didn't budge that whole show- she just sat there clapping and laughing. She loved it. That's another one we did every year, but by age 3 1/2, she has already outgrown Sesame Street, won't watch it on tv anymore, and doesn't want to go to that one again. It is all Disney and Princesses right now. She has always been very good at sitting through shows even though she is an extremely high energy kid. If you can get seats closer to the ice, I think that is better for the little ones as it seems like the closer they are, they more engrossed they get and the more still they sit. I say take him!!!

We took my son at 22 months. He was mesmerized. We just saw it again at 3.5 years old. He was almost as good at the 1st time.

About the cost, try to search online for some discount codes. I got $20 tickets for $11 each by buying a 4 pack and using the MOM code.

I took DS when he was about that age and he loved it. It was a great outing for the two of us. But, I definitely didn't pay that much for tickets. I know I found some discount code online and got discounted tickets.

I took both of my sons (they were 1 and just 3) they both loved it. They sat through the whole thing and it was a blast. They really spare no expense and put on a great show. Bring a light-up spinner toy or glow necklaces from home so you don't have to buy anything at the show. We brought my sons spinner buzz and it kept him occupied before the show. Well worth it.

DS was a little over 2 when we went and it was a lot of fun! He loved seeing all the characters from Disney that he had seen a few months before. Ditto the PP who said bring a light-up toy from home. Look for special promos...they usually do a special for opening night where all seats in the house (except front row) are $10-$15. That really makes it worth it!

We're going this week with our 2.5 year old (and 7 month old, too). We're SO looking forward to it! At almost 2, DD enjoyed sitting for shows at WDW, so I'm hoping she'll love seeing her favorite Disney characters on ice, too (and I'm excited for sure!). We also used that MOM code - $11 each and our seats are pretty close to the front - I'm not sure we would have paid full price (mostly for fear that the 7 month old will have a tough time sitting through it), but with that great of a bargain, I think it'll be worth it.

took my DD @ 2 last year and she still talks about the next time she goes to "Disney on Mice" She loved it. But my tickets for a family of 4 were about $65.00. We did the $12 tickets and had great seats, really about the best in the house we were just to the right of the entrance and could see better than most people. You have a better view from the upper seats because you can see the whole thing. We will be going again but this year it is the week that we leave for our surprise trip!! So no Disney on MIce for us this year!

I took my DD when she was almost 2. We saw Disney Princesses on Ice, and she loved it. I would definitely do it. The shows are so good. We saw the Magical Journey show a few months back. Totally worth the money imo.
I hope the regular live shows are as good as the on ice. We are planning on going see the Road Show Live show they are doing in December.

we took our DD that age to her first and each time we pass by the arena, she remembers (DD5)

i'd suggest doing the 1st night shows (here they are always thursday) and the tixs are $15 with the code we get in the mail and online.

My 2.5 year old son loved it so much on Friday that I think I may do it again. There is a different version showing nearby in December.

I used the mom code it was $57 for 3 tickets, great seats. I priced out 5 tickets in december using the code and it was under $100.
The code is only good at participating theaters and usually only weekday shows including friday - but not the late show on friday.

We went to it last year when our kids were 6, 4, and 23 months. We had a blast. Our kids LOVED it. Our 23 month old sat still and took everything in. She was clapping and laughing...there wasn't anything she didn't like about it. Everytime Mickey or Minnie would get close to her she would start screaming HI, HI, HI! It was cute. We got her a seat for though. She could have sat on our laps, but we decided to just buy her a seat...MUCH easier that way. I have already bought our tickets for December. She will have turned 3 a month before, so she is still young, but I would be shocked if she doesn't love it as much this time as she did last year.

I don't have a two year anymore BUT we just came from a Disney on ice show we went with my dd brownie troop. He friends sister is 3 and they brought another 3 year old along and they sat and watched the entire thing and did not misbehave. Although popcorn helped

We are taking dd in November and she will be 21 months. We are hoping for the best, but you will never know if you don't give it a try! Our tickets were only $12 each, though, so not as big of an investment as you are making!

I have been taking my son to Disney World and Disney on Ice since he was 18 months. If he likes the Disney characters, I think he will love it.

If you can afford it at all, I say GO!!! You will see tons of very little kids there and they love it. The ones we have been to were not "sit still and be quiet" kind of shows anyway -people were laughing, clapping, shouting, etc. We just got tickets for the Worlds of Fantasy that is coming in Dec - and we can't wait!

It is one of the few ways to get a real "Disney Fix" when you can't go to WDW!
