Just got back from the final dress rehearsal of the Disney On Ice production called "Celebrations!". The first public performance will be tomorrow night in Lakeland with shows the following weekend in Orlando before heading off on the rest of the first year tour. It's a fast moving show with a lot of top-notch skating and more characters than I could count. Mickey and Minnie are the central characters in this production which is all about celebrations including birthdays (or un-birthdays), Christmas, summer vacation, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Mardi Gras, Carnivale and more. If you've got a favorite Disney character, chances are they will be on the ice at some point. The show also introduces the newest Disney Princess, Tiana, from the upcoming "The Princess and The Frog". The Toy Story characters, the Disney Villains and the Disney Princesses all have major roles in the show so there's really something for everybody in the family. My favorite? The skating brooms from Fantasia...brooms on the ice, brooms in the air, brooms on the screen, brooms everywhere!

Celebrations! is one of 7 DOI productions currently on tour. 100 Years of Magic, Princess Classics, Worlds of Fantasy and Finding Nemo will also tour the U.S. and Canada this year while Princess Wishes, Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey and The Incredibles Disneyland Adventure will tour overseas.

I'm surprised 100 Years of Magic is still going strong.

Anyway, Celebrations! sounds fantastic. Can't wait to see it.
