Just FYI - the show "Fans Guide to Walt Disney World" which has aired for the last year and a half will finally show on Discovery HD on February 21 at 9:00am. This is the first time I'm aware of this version will air - and has 10 minutes more content than the version that shows on the Travel Channel.

Enjoy! :smickey:

I've noticed that all the Disney shows rebroadcast on Discovery HD have added content (and fewer commercial breaks). I was extremely pleased with the Disneyland show they did.

Thanks for the tip Dave! I remembered you commenting before that the HD version was longer... I'm looking forward to seeing the results. I already have my DVR set for it! (Plus the school I work at has the week off so I'll get to watch it in my jammies over breakfast. Woo hoo!) :coffee:

Thanks for the i nfo. I'll have to remember this in a few weeks when I go by my new HD tv for my new townhouse :woohoo:

Yeah, the longer version includes our daughter giving a much rehearsed tip on getting into Disney theaters and our secret path to Dinosaur (before Everest was on the horizon). Just remember, all of us on TV can see you in your homes so make sure those jammies are decent! :earseek:

Hey, no prob, it's a family show! LOL :thumbsup2

Hey Dave!!! I am going over to a friend's house Tuesday morning to watch the show!! Since we don't have HDTV here at our house I had to invite myself over. ;) I can't wait to see it!!! :hyper: Is your family going to watch it? I was beginning to think our show would never be on again. :( I had emailed the Travel Channel programming people like 10 times and they kept saying it wasn't scheduled to air again. Maybe we should have everyone on the DIS email until they bring it back!! :thumbsup2

Count me in for the Email. This should be incredible to watch on HD. Can't wait to see it.

If anyone is interested Great Hotels - Yacht & Beach Club is on the Travel Channel at 9:00AM EST Sunday (Tomorrow) Morning!

Yes, I'm going to watch it - ah just think, the HD detail from that warm interview day surrounded by lights on my sweaty face! It should be a sight to behold! :crazy2:

I wondered when they would pull the plug on this show - especially now that Everest is the new star. It should be interesting to see if this is the last run of this show. They need us to do that sequel!

Thanks so much for the heads up!!

I have the regular one in my tivo and i just set up my tivo to record the HD broadcast of it now!!

Cant Wait!!

The email address I usually write to when I want to know when the show will be on again is: viewer_relations@discovery.com They would always know when it was set to air again even months in advance. But now they say the show isn't set to air at all. :( Dave, did you also notice the Lightship website is blank on air dates and projects?

If you go to the Discovery Channel web site, click on the "Discovery HD Theater" button, and look at tomorrow's schedule at 9:00am. There it is!

Yes, I have noticed the lack of programming out of Lightship! The last thing they had on the schedule was the Christmas parade - and there was little new there since the programs on Miami and Orlando last year. I don't know what has happened there. Nothing with Everest, nothing for 2006. Maybe they need us to do that sequel! :confused3

Anyway, hope the first showing of the show on Discovery HD Theater goes well!

crap I missed it...is it going to be in HD again?

Rats! I only DVR'd the last half. I tuned in to set it up this morning and it was already on. I was thinking 9 a.m. Central time. Yikes! Oh well! You guys looked like you were having a swell time at Boma! Please post if it is broadcast again!

I missed it, too. I checked the digital schedule, and it's not on there for at least the next 5 days.

If anyone knows when it will be rebroadcast, let us know.

Thanks.

Rats. I just missed it too! Right now there is no listing for another broadcast. I hope they change that.

There is another WDW show coming up on Fri. morning:

America's Thrillmakers: Walt Disney World

They're some of the most thrilling theme park attractions anywhere. Viewers can experience the sensation of blasting off into space, falling to their doom in a runaway elevator or trekking through a primeval forest with man-eating dinosaurs on their tail.

Loved the new bits! They added in a lot more than I expected.
