Yes, the company who produced the show sent us (after some prodding) the HD version - so we got to see the longer show months ago. I really liked the addition of Erika's family in the Tiki Room (you son's eyes say it all).
Our daughter is now so embarrassed by her "unrehearsed" explanation of how to get into Disney theaters. She was 10 when the show was shot - now she's almost 13 - it's a pre-teen thing. They marched us into and out of "Tough to be a Bug" because they already had stock footage and they didn't want to disrupt the paying guests with camera equipment.
The AK Rainforest Cafe finally got their plug as you actually see all the wonderful food they brought out to us. I keep telling the people at our Rainforest here in Minneapolis that Im a spokesman for their company but so far no discounts! You also got to see our multiple rides on Primeval Whirl (where they kept telling us to "put down your arms" and "are you getting sick yet?") and our "secret path" to Dinoland - big secret, huh?
The thing I had hoped the longer version would show was our multiple rides on Kali River. They pulled in another family from the line on our ride, and when they saw us dawn our ponchos and the camera wrapped up tight, they began to get nervous. The CMs kept sending our raft back again and again. By our second ride the other family started to get upset - by the third ride they were cursing loudly. We walked off dry - they were not happy campers. That's the reason you don't see much of our many rides on the show - they couldn't use the any of the audio.
Fun memories! We've only got 29 days until we're there again! Woot!
