Now that Disney+ has launched I'm curious if it'll be included on the ships in any way

It could be available on the cabin TV's.

They could play original movies like Lady and the Tramp in the movie theater.

Could even play The Mandalorian in the movie theater.

Very curious.

Being as it's a streaming and on demand programming channel, it's highly unlikely they'd be able to incorporate it into the ship's systems as they have a narrow bandwidth for satellite TV already. Also the older ships aren't equipped for on demand content anyway.

They added ondemand to the Wonder at the last drydock. I believe that was the last ship to have it added.

As far I'm aware, the whole fleet has On Demand now. The issue being the content is likely served from a server on the ship. Adding the D+ content would require increasing server space and available bandwidth as it would likely go up with people checking out the content if it's free. They could host a limited amount of D+ content and allow people with accounts to login to view it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do some kind of free trial to get people hooked but it may not be on the ships.

The cabin TVs already have a selection of old Disney movies available for viewing. There are typically enough current and recent releases to keep the theater busy (and with the acquisition of Fox, there will be even more).

Passengers who are watching Disney+ in their cabins are passengers who are not buying drinks, playing bingo, and shopping, so my guess is that Disney Cruise Line doesn't see a need to add it, even if it is technically possible.

I was hoping to see Lady & The Tramp on board. What others have said makes sense. Hopefully we'll know soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had it (complimentary / no subscription needed) in the staterooms. It would essentially be like a free preview for those who don't yet have subscriptions.

You should be able to download it for offline viewing. If you go to the app and click on Lady and the Tramp, there is Play, Add to Watchlist, and Download. If you download you don't need internet to play! You'll just be reliant on your device.
