Disney Official info about CSR and CBR EXPANSIONS

Wasn't trying to put words in your mouth. I just think it's interesting that the "plan" so many were sure of at CSR was just plain wrong.

Interesting about your stay. DS stayed last year but my last was two years ago. It would be a shame if they put the full focus on conventions when it has one of the best main pools, period. Maybe part of their push is for convention folks to bring their families and therefore folks are spending money while businesses are also paying for things.

CBR ..... wow, so many things wrong here ... but then again, we don't have any official information from Disney on it's future.
I honestly knew you were not doing that! No worries there!

The csr stay was pretty interesting in terms to the change from the evening before to the morning of departure. There was not one indication that guests would not have any access to the food courts and that we would be durected to the dig site where you were instructed to stand in line while a cm doled coffee out, one cup at a time.

That's when I thought about what a convention center really was and that csr was not set up to go both under some circumstances.

Can you name these people who were just plain wrong?

Conventions is exactly why they are doing this to CSR.

Permits, permits, permits....

Yes, convention business is big money and offering "deluxe" amenities allows for a higher price point

From what I understand the convention guests complained about the resort being too spread out, dining options, and not enough higher class type rooms.

I bet! I would not have booked CSR for my business convention. I also think that booking BC or CR is becoming problematic as well. I believe that if you are selling a convention resort that resort needs to focus on the needs of those businesses, dedicated areas to dine, specific amenities for those guests. Companies are not always willing to drop their employees in and then juggle for space and attention.

BC isn't a convention hotel, YC is. CR is rumored to get out of the convention business which could be one of the reasons we are seeing changes at CSR. I think of the Swan and Dolphin as a good example of a convention hotel (its the only convention hotel I have stayed in). It has good dining options. Good pools, and proximity to the convention centers is quite good.

Sorry about that. I tend to lump BC and YC into the same resort. But you are right, they are distinct.
